Tavaris Jackson is absolutely terrible. Based on how great Minnys run game looks, he is gonna cost them big this year.

So I was just on the Bears website and happened to see a picture of Obama on the homepage wearing a Bears jacket. I completely forgot he was a Bears fan. Not trying to start anything political here, but maybe he could help the Bears decision to get a new coach for next season. I mean he has got to have some pull right? Maybe we should petition him instead of the Bears organization for a coaching change since they would discard the notion anyways. I mean if he can "pick" the final four why not have him suggest the Bears clean house. Just a random thought.

  6. Bears move fan convention to Soldier Field, push back to June The Bears are moving the site of their annual fan convention to Soldier Field. The event, which was a sellout last spring for the first time, had been held at the Hilton and Towers since its inception. Now, the franchise will have more time to put a disappointing season behind before the rah-rah for the 2008 campaign begins. The team said there will be more room for events at the stadium. The event, which typically was held in March or early April, has been pushed back to June 7-8. This should make it easier for the organization to attract players on the current roster to the event. This …

We only have one offseason to draw from, and from what I understand the Bears have more cap space this offseason than last. That said, last year and his general comments suggest Pace is more likely to target young, up and coming players (see McPhee) than break the bank for a guy that’s established, but might not be worth his contract in four years. So I can’t really see a fit with Von Miller, Josh Norman, Muhammad Wilkerson, or even Malik Jackson. That said, here's some guys I like: - Danny Trevathan, LB, Broncos – ILB is the biggest need for the Bears (Pace has said as much), Trevathan has the Fox connection, and there’s not a lot of other ILB depth in FA, and I…

  10. http://sports-ak.espn.go.com/nfl/index Mort, jaws , Kiper and tirico talking about Bears. I think Mort is talking out of A$$. Keep Berrian? for that money? He talks about it as though the only decisions on players are whether you have depth there. I think he just didn't do his homework. And as far as spending cash, look you we have coming up in contract talks-Harris, Hester and who we have signed in the last year- Vasher, Tillman and Briggs. Starters anywhere.

So.. first let me say hey fellas.. it's been a while.. So I was reading an article on the tribune site and there was mention of Todd Collins being elevated back to #2 over Caleb Hanie.. I nearly lost my cheerios and had to find a place to vent! I have never ever been so disgusted with a Bears coaching staff than I have with this one, and the Bears had some extreme losers at the helm over the past 18 years or so.. I'm no fan of Cutler, although I still can see why they would stick with him. However, Collins is an NFL reject that had about 1/2 a season of success in a 16 year career. To put him over Hanie AGAIN has nearly made me reconsider my allegiance to this …

I've seen all the quotes from Steve Young, Gannon, and others about how great a role Trestman played in their development. Those were all good to hear in terms of QB development. But this quote from Jim Harbaugh really gives me a good feeling we have the right coach. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...t-me-everything ----------------------------------------- San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said Friday that new Chicago Bears coach Marc Trestman "taught me everything" when they were on the Oakland Raiders coaching staff, and he still uses many of Trestman's techniques. "Everything wouldn't be an overstatement," Harbaugh said Friday on "Th…

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000052...-was-all-in-fun Perhaps you heard about McCarthy spouting off about what will inevitability hold true? What troubles me is not that he said it but how it appears he feels he has to apologize for saying it. What happened to the days of posting comments like this on the bulletin board for motivating our team to prove him wrong? Or to simply challenge us (Bears) in bringing our A game rather than suck like we've done for the last 10-11 games? Heck like the article points out, Fox even admits to a degree that McCarthy is right or least substantiated in his bravado. This sport is barbaric in nature and has no room for poli…

Bears' receiving corps gets makeover: Rashied Davis out as starter December 23, 2008 Rashied Davis didn't hide his frustration leading into Monday night's game as criticism of his play mounted. Imagine how the Bears' receiver feels now after being benched. Davis, who entered the game with a team-high seven drops, was replaced in the starting lineup by Brandon Lloyd. Davis had started the previous five games and 12 of the team's 14. "It's not easy to be sitting back and watching when you know you're capable enough to be out there playing," Davis said. "I just did my job. I thank God that I was able to go out and have some opportunities to make some plays [on…

I don't have a clue what the game plan must have been but if my starting RB (Forte) has 18 yards on his first 2 carries and had 205 last season against the same team the last time we played them, why not call his number until they stop him that first drive was a thing of beauty with him scoring the TD to finish the drive. At the half he was averaging 6.4 yards a carry. So IMO those sacks in the first half are not 100% on the OL and Cutler, I put them on Tice. On the pick Cutler threw,it was a 1 man route and max-protect that allowed the defense to basically quadruple cover the one WR in the route Marshall. Who called that play.? Tice. Some of those plays where Cutler was h…

I am disappointed at missing out on one big signing of a playmaker, but lets look at last year first. Everybody got excited at signing Trevathan but we missed out on Malik Jackson and Javous Jenkins, I dont remember people complaining much. We signed Hicks, Freeman and Sitton that all made our team better but I dont remember people celebrating such great free agents. Massie ended up being an okay signing. Hicks was close to being a pro bowl player, Sitton did make the pro bowl and Freeman played like a stud while Trevathan got hurt. On day one we didnt get blowed away but if we look back to last year, I would have to say we did quite well. You can not…

Should be interesting to see how Jay does in Miami. I was looking forward to Thursday's broadcast. Will be interesting to see how "in it" Jay is. By all accounts he was very much enjoying retirement and spending time with his family. Presume the Miami situation was about the only situation which would have coaxed him out of retirement (since he can work with Gase again).
