Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. The TE turned down a strong four year offer from the Bears to sign a one year deal with AZ. I got to admit, I thought it was a done deal the Black Unicorn would be gone. He was given permission to negotiate a trade and so far there appears to be nothing. Considering it's a week TE draft class and there's really nobody left on the open market (aside from Miller) I have to think it's a strong possibility he returns.

Per the Suntimes. No problems for me with either. I think the Grossman signing makes keeping Griese unnecessary. Further, I think Kyle showed alot of potential in the last 3 games. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-bear24.article Peace

per Profootballtalk.com: GRIESE IS THE GUY IN TAMPA Posted by Mike Florio on September 16, 2008, 10:37 a.m. To little surprise, Brian Griese is now the starting quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And Jeff Garcia isn’t. Griese led the Bucs to a 24-9 win over the Falcons in their Week Two home opener. Garcia quarterbacked the team during a 24-20 road loss to the Saints in Week One. “You know what? He warrants being a starting quarterback in the league, period,” coach Jon Gruden said of Griese. “With that said, we don’t anticipate any changes at that position this week.” So what is Garcia’s role moving forward? On Sunday, he was the thi…

  6. Madness, to me this was all setup. Gronk retires, Brady doesn't return to NE. He has the pick of the league, picks TB, then after NE signs enough players that prevents them from taking on Gronk's contract, he magically unretires which forces NE's hand to make a trade immediately (they cannot go over the cap). To me, this seems way too convenient. Also, TB magically had enough to take on his contract.

According to John Clayton, a 2 year extension will be given to Rex by the end of the today. Clayton also said they expect to bring Griese back. What are your thoughts?

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Ak8S...ype=team_report Is this going to be like the Falcons of last year, switching QB's every other week? Or are we going to finally get down to business and designate a final starting QB. I thought signing Grossman in the offseason was a sign of him becoming the starter again this season. I hope that sometime soon we'll find out which one we're going with. (P.S. Grossman #8 --- McNown #8) I hope the number is given away with future QB draft picks.

Rex has continued the 08 season talk now surrounding the Bears with this statement. Well, he'd certainly have the chance to compete for a starting job in Chicago. The question is, would he be happy to do so on a 1 or 2 year deal?

The way I see it there are 12 realistic DL combinations right now: 1 Allen Ratliff Sutton 2 Allen Ratliff McDonald 3 Allen Ratliff Young 4 Sutton Ratliff McDonald 5 Sutton Ratliff Young 6 Young Ratliff McDonald 7 Allen Ego Sutton 8 Allen Ego McDonald 9 Allen Ego Young 10 Sutton Ego McDonald 11 Sutton Ego Young 12 Young Ego McDonald If Allen happens to stand up as an OLB, then that narrows things down on the DL, but it severely muddies the waters at OLB. However, here are the potential LB combos: 1 Allen Bostic Greene McPhee 2 Allen Bostic Jones McPhee 3 Allen Bostic Foster McPhee 4 Allen Greene Jones McPhee 5 Allen Green…

So I was looking up some stats and found a pretty wild one. There is one player in NFL history to have 5 INTs, 15 sacks, 20 PDs, and over 300 solo tackles in his first 3 seasons. He had 6 INTs, 18.5 sacks, 20 PDs, 306 solo tackles, plus 44 TFLs, 4 FF, and 5 FR, and 1 TD in his first 3 years. I was honestly shocked that he was the only player to achieve this, and is still the only player to date. Since TFLs were not recorded properly until the 2000s, I didn't use that in the search, but that would've made it even more inclusive of a club. Just off the top of your head, who do you think it would be?
