The older I get the less I agree with being a sports traditionalist. I want exciting and cutting edge and more respect for what we can do offensively! Yes, I did love the way we pounded the rock in week one against Indy but we were able to dictate the pace and control the line of scrimmage. Week 2 has shown that right now if we do not control the line of scrimamge for 60 minutes we can not adjust to compete in a shoot out ala teams like the Broncos, Dallas, Philly, and Greenbay! Even in offseason, it's a marathon not a sprint I was surprised the Bears were not listed as one of the five teams who have been very quiet in FA. Instead it centered on GBP, MIN, SDC, KCC & ATL. Still, it is interesting that the article sort of supports JA's approach to FA. I have no doubt our needs will be addressed. We've begun our server move. The move is taking us from our current dedicated server to a bigger one with double the ram and a bit larger processor. Today we upgraded the site to version 2.6 of Invision, which is the latest version workable on our current server, but we are upgrading to the newest database software on our new server set-up which will enable us to move up to Version 3.x which is the latest and greatest. It allows for faster indexing which will be very beneficial as the sites database continues to grow. There will be a 24hr or so outage though and I'll try to give as much of a heads up as I can. The last two years the Thursday night NFL Network games have been broadcast locally in the Chicago area (which has extended to Peoria) Pixote asked over the summer about viewing the Thursday night games and I told him it wouldn't be a problem. Checking the local listings the game is not on . . . sorry about that Pix. Any tips for how to view the game? Otherwise I'll be in the garage with the radio checking the computer for video updates and likely chatting here. I do feel for all of you who don't live locally and deal with this problem every week.
