Veteran C Olin Kreutz is walking away from the Saints because "he no longer feels passion and doesn't want to just collect paycheck," according to his agent.

  5. OK, Jay has 1,476 passing yards through 6 games. Assuming he continues at the exact same pace of 246 yds/game, he'll get another 2,460 yards for the next 10 games. That would be a total of 3,936. Kramer currently hold the record of 3,838 from 1995. Kramer also has the # of TD's in a season record of 29 from the same season. Jay is only on pace (having just 8 TD's currently) to only get a total of 21. Can't get 'em all Jay! Sid's got the franchise passing record of career yards of 14,866. Jay got 3,666 in 2009 and 3,274 in 2010. With the 1,476 he's got right now, that'll give him 8,416. He'd only need 6,450 more to pass Luckman. In theory…

It was just reported that the Bears practiced on Wednesday and Thursday in the US, then flew Friday. Meanwhile, the Bucs flew earlier in the week. As someone who has flown across the globe numerous times, I can tell you jet lag is a real issue. It takes more than a day to overcome the time differences in some instances. Some times it doesn't. I've flown from the US to New Zealand and recovered immediately. However, I've flown to Europe on more than one occasion that took multiple days to recover. In my opinion, it was a bad decision by Lovie and ownership to fly late in the week. If they come out slow and lethargic, it will not surprise me.

    1. Cutler has to play better against Philly if they want a big win there. He had a lot of passes that were iffy. 2. Roy Williams is starting to play better. That's a great sign. It was good to see Knox get involved today also. 3. It's now evident more than ever that J'Marcus Webb is the weak link on the OL. Everyone on the OL had a decent game except for him. He gets beat way too much. 4. The Bears got some pressure from the front 4, but it was never overwhelming. Does Henry Melton even play for the Bears anymore? Jesus. And where the f*** was Paea today? I barely noticed him. 5. Martz needs to get his head out of his ass. Stop throwing when you're up …

2012 home opponents: Seattle, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Houston, Minnesota, Green Bay, Detroit (if my calculations are correct, their last home opponent will be from the NFC South [example: if the Bears finish 2nd in the North, they'll play whoever finishes 2nd in the South at home]) 2012 road opponents: Tennessee, Jacksonville, San Francisco, Arizona, Minnesota, Green Bay, Detroit (their last road opponent will be from the NFC East) All of this is from Brad Biggs' column today, except the stuff that's in parentheses.

  14. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/poll/...,0,2452655.poll I voted no. I would put Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Reed, and C.Johnson ahead of him, and maybe even A.Johnson, Fitzgerald, Polamalu, Peterson, Ngata, and Revis.

With Stafford being injured(Day to Day) and the growing faction of NFL players calling out Suh the bloom on this rose may be fading. This all may be attributed to their very emotional coach.Best injured as well as the whole league is starting to see what it is the Lions are doing. The other thing I like is that they don't have a bye this week and the Bears can prepare for both the Eagles and Lions their next two opponnents.

For our friends on the other side of the pond: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...55.story?page=3 8. Big props to the U.K. Bears fan club, as passionate a group of football fans as you’ll discover in any Chicago neighborhood. I met up with them Saturday night to watch some college football. Only a few bars in London show college football, and we were at one not too far from the Chelsea soccer stadium. There were a few in the group from London, but the vast majority had traveled long distances to be in town for the game. One fellow came from Sweden and another was from Spain. Another guy made his way about 100 miles from Bournemouth after his wife deliv…
