I think we should address our offensive problems in FAgency and defense in the draft. Go after Dem. Bell OLT -Bills young and above average Go after Steve Johnson WR-Bills, better passing option here Go after Steve Smith WR-Phil, not cost alot and will like the chance to be a bigger part of offense Go after Fred DavisTE-Wash all good offense teams have a good pass catching TE. In the draft we get a DE, CB, and LB help .

Raiders | To interview Reggie McKenzie for GM job Wed, 04 Jan 2012 07:29:14 -0800 Green Bay Packers director of football operations Reggie McKenzie is expected to interview for the Oakland Raiders general manager position Wednesday, Jan. 4, according to a source. Hopefully the Bears don't sit on their hands and at least interview him to see if he has what it takes. Though I am concerned if Ted would even know what right looks like. After all he doesn't have his hiring firm telling him what to think this time.

    1. The easy one- JA is gone!!!!!!!! 2. Not so sure about -Martz is gone, sounds like there was a divide in the front office lovie, JA and Martz, for Cutler i am on the fence with this one 3. We have the QB- any up and comer will see that the hardest part is done, the QB spot is set 4. We have the RB- as long as they resign him, from Clayton on Espn the difference was 2 million so not far off 5. We have a good core of Defensive players to add around and be really good for a couple of years 6. We were 7- 3 before Cutler went down- imagine if the oline and wr groups are upgraded 7. We have a 1st,2nd and two 3rd's in this draft that a new GM can really put his na…

There's a ton of skepticism going on, and I'm also a bit worried. However, there are some positives besides the spin the bears are putting on it... 1. Reporting to Teddy might be a blessing. Any GM worthwhile will see Teddy as a piss ant and do what he wants to do. It'll be like virtually having no boss. So, for a strong and smart GM, it could prove a blessing. 2. Stuck with Smith. Well, assuming it's truly locked...then after one season, he could be ousted potentially. Also, what if, Smith actually excels? What is a barrage of new talent makes all the difference? Smith isn't the worst coach. He's certainly not the best. But he might be good enough…

  5. http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2012/01/re...as_eyes_fo.html Truly how safe is Lovie, who is coming in as GM, and what kind of coaching staff they want in place? Things are going to be interesting in Chicago this offseason.

Now that Martz is gone how many think Olsen was a good trade? I hope that whoever we pick with that 3rd pick brings as much value as Greg did.

Bears | Interested in Les Snead Thu, 05 Jan 2012 07:12:47 -0800 The Chicago Bears are "meticulously vetting" Atlanta Falcons director of player personnel Les Snead as a candidate to bring in to interview for the team's vacant general manager position, according to a league source. 0 Comments | Share: Tweet! I do think if you brought in a GM like the Ravens guy (who is the top candidate in the league) and the Bears loved him and he was in with the exception that he needed to have a shot to bring in his coach, than I'd probably do it. However, when I look down the list of NFL head coaches, I only see 5 coaches better than Lovie in this league: 1. Bellicheck 2. Sean Payton 3. McCarthy 4. Tomlin 5. Reid I think anyone else and you can make an argument Lovie is better. The next list, which includes Lovie, also includes Mike Smith, the Harbaugh Brothers, Shanny (I might include him in the top group), and Rex Ryan (who I happen to hate). You could also argue for Kub…

  13. Whoever the Bears choose to run football operations, might have difficulty drafting in terms of taking players that fit a certain scheme. With Martz gone, I think offense will be easier. As for defense, if your the GM would you take guys specifically that fit the cover-2 or would you grab a player that would fit a more traditional style defense? Luckily our biggest needs are on the offensive side of the ball and thats were I would go heavy early. But if we fail to make the playoffs again next year, Lovie might just get shown the door and then we are stuck with players that might not excel in standard 3-4. Seems like we are back to square one when JA had to draft for J…

I was just on Facebook and a Chicago thing I am comnected to call Chicsgo Hoody threw an interesting idea out there for the next GM Da Bears should hire, Not sure it would happen however, I kind of like the idea of bringing back Da Coach as the GM. Imagine the intensity around Halas Hall with Da' Coach back in charge of something so important. Something tells me Lovie would not last the 2012 season and who knows who Da Coach would bring in to take over. Just something to dream about in my opinion. What do you think?

Yes there has been much talk about what or who we need to draft in the draft &FA but the bottom line is this....Defense wins championships. Now dont get me wrong we do need to have firepower on the offensive side of the ball too, along with the WR and line to match, but our main problem is the cover two system and the lack of cover guys in it. We are good at stopping the run but our pass defense is pitiful to say the least.Someone said on the board that we can not just sit in a cover two zone and allow WR to just catch the ball then tackle them. I will make this point..... is Bowman a good cover two guy or a shut down corner. If he was a shut down corner then Green B…

Bears Promote Mike Tice To Offensive Coordinator The Chicago Bears have promoted offensive line coach Mike Tice to offensive coordinator, Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com reports. Though Tice has head coaching experience in the NFL, he has never been a coordinator. An opportunity to coordinate the Tennessee Titans was blocked by the Bears last offseason. To account for a lack of experience at this position, Glazer adds that Tice will manage the running game and will be paired with a passing game coordinator, a situation occurred with the Arizona Cardinals, who had Russ Grimm coordinate the running game and Matt Miller run the passing game. http://www.macsfo…
