There are rumors that teams this year want to move down in the draft teams specifically mentioned are the Eagles (fourth), Lions (fifth), Browns (sixth), Bills (eighth) and Dolphins (12th) ,Cowboys(eighteen)as having made calls trying to trade down. Also the Jets and Vikings have two picks in first round...and maybe the Falcons and 49ers wanting to move up. So what kind of trades up or down do you see coming?

Now that we are close, and some more tidbits about player positioning are floating around, I'm posting my final dream mock draft. 1. DJ Fluker, RT, Bama - Immediate starter. Puts Webb on the bench where he belongs. 2. Alec Ogletree, MLB, UGA - His draft stock slipped recently, but his athleticism didn't. 4. Travis Frederick, C, Wisc. - Trains for one year, starts for a decade afterwards. **Alternate - Ryan Swope, WR, TX A&M - If he falls this far it's probably too much to pass up. 5. I seen an article that we brought him in town at the last minute. He is Vinston Painter a OT out of VT. We like him at OG. He is very athletic, and with the new scheme on the OL the athletic guard fits it better. James Brown, Garza, not so much Slauson and Carmi. He is said to be around a 4th rounder and not many teams worked him out. He needs to learn more, good upside, and not well known.

Predictions for upcoming draft. We will trade down and grab an extra third and 6th.(several trade partners, no need to go into detail.) 2 of our first 3 picks will be defense. We will grab a OLine prospect but not at top of draft. We will draft a WR. I also think we grab a QB prospect in 5 or 6. I have thrown out there the names I like Ogletree, Brown, Minter, Greene, Hodges: Stills, Swope,Boyd,Ausin: Fredirch,Swenke,Jones, Warford,Winters: Banks,Amerson,Ryan,Alford,Hawthorne.

1. Jamar Taylor, CB, Baylor 2. Alec Ogletree, LB, UGA 4. Brian Schwenke, OG, Cal. 5. Ryan Otten, TE, San Jose St. 6. Kenjon Barner, RB, Oregon I'm not sure how I feel about this draft. Don't like the start of it, but Ogletree in the 2nd would be a steal. Virtually everyone here like Schwenke in the 4th, but then Otten ruins the momentum in the 5th. Finishing with Barner would be very nice, since the Bears could use a breakaway threat at RB (6th round pick on a guy who could end up being the best RB in the draft).

Alright so let me first say that I hate/never believe people when they say I had a dream about a draft and think its silly. Well last night I did indeed have a dream about our Bears and the key piece of that dream was my boy Jesse Williams. We were in the super bowl, down by 6, inside 2 minutes, and we had the ball 4th and 1 near mid field(against the Broncos FWIW). Using NFLDraftScout's Prospect Rankings, I filtered it for only CB/DT/ILB/WR/OT/OG/C/TE/QB, then figured out who might be available at our current top 3 picks (20, 50, and 117). For the 1st round, I figured +/-10, 2nd round +/-12, and 4th round +/-20. I was assuming this is how far someone could fall and how far we might reach on a pick. Listening to the Score this morning Mully brought up an interesting point. Why is Hester still on the roster? Only a returner paying 2.8 mil, if you trade him you dont have 833,000 in dead cap space. Bragging him up and offering him on draft day for a 5th or 6th rounder? Makes a lot of sense to me. I see a good team taking a flyer on him to put them over the top. He has not been good for the last 1 and 1/2 years but teams still treated him as such by altering there kickoffs. I see that as a possibility.

Till now I have been on board with drafting defense in the first. But with the additions thus far on the line and on defense I have been thinking: 1st Tavon Austin WR 2nd Best corner available My logic is that a Marshall and Jeffery split out and Austin in the slot with Bennett at tight end would give us a group of receivers that would be hard to stop. There are people on this board that will say that weapons are useless with Cutler on his back. I have to have faith that Kromer with the additions the line will improve.
