This is the run that seals the game. Again, Conte is posterized but even if he tackles Jackson at first contact it is still a 30 yarder to win. In this one, we are in the Nickel with only Briggs and Bostic at LB. Mundy is on the TE and shadowing him in motion. Bostic has the QB and contain on the left. Briggs has the other gap. As Allen rushes and seals the right edge, Briggs shoots the gap on the other side of the Center leaving a massive hole for Jackson to run through. Briggs flops in the backfield unblocked (#2).

Good to see Roberto back in time to play against his former team. Although DLP has done well. But what I'm really intrigued by is the possible starting of Christian Jones. I look forward to seeing how he does in a full game. He looked a little raw last week in spot work but something tells me he could be another gem in the making. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...b4-2bc193050e61

  5. My batting average is very good seeing live games. I'm hoping to improve on that this Sunday! Go Bears!

As long as we have Bostic and SMC (and Fuller) out there to cover the TEs I think the D can do enough to keep the scoring within range of what our offense should do. And what our offense should do is run the football. This is not to say we should be favored…far from it but I still don't think this game is as big of slam dunk for the Patriots as what some might believe. Let's see they have lost to the Dolphins, beat the Vikings, Raiders, then lost to the Chiefs, and of late have beaten the Bengals (who were missing some key players), Bills and just barely beat the Jets after giving up 25pts to Geno Smith. We could lose big but we could just as likely be in this …

  8. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2014/12/16/gab...g-hasnt-worked/ Fantastic article with a lot of insight he has collected from his contacts in the organization. I highlighted a couple key quotes below but this really is a must read and Gabriel hits everything right on the head. I keep saying, a lot of stories are going to come out when the Trestman era ends and they aren't going to be flattering.

He didn't have to be at the press conference today but he did. He was honest and sincere. I want him gone but I want to recognize that he handled this extremely well today. Peace

  10. I don't know if this was mentioned elsewhere, but I like the idea of getting as much professional assistance as possible. This looks promising, and since this panel was just formed, we obviously did not use it last time. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...or-new-gm-coach

When Emery came on board, and then when Lovie was fired, we saw some of our best talents leave the organization. Ballard was promoted then decided to leave a year later because he reportedly wanted to work with someone else. Marinelli was offered the DC job and after a week or so he chose to leave town for a lesser job with the Cowboys. Toub had our special teams at the top of the league year after year and when Lovie was gone he was offered a job to stick around. After a week or so he left town to take the same job in another city. Clearly something with Emery and Trestman made some good coaches and talent evaluators leave town. Now we have rumors of Balla…

George's performance since the last game of the season has been the best Ive seen from Bears brass. 1.Didn't mess around with firing assistant coaches and giving Trestman another year 2.Didn't let Emery off the hook= smoked his ass too 3.Hired Ernie, a guy outside the Bears to help get this right 4.Hired Pace someone outside the Bears tree when everyone thought it would be Ballard 5.Hired a HC with actual HC experience first time ever in Bears history Ill give George an A+, he gets the A+ because he is trying something different. Will it work, who knows, there are a lot of factors that go into things panning out, some out of the control of Pace …

A month ago he wasn't anywhere to be found in top 10 draft picks. Back then almost every mock draft had us taking S Landon Collins. Now I find Shelton on a quite a few mocks for the Bears pick. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/mock-dr...rt/dane-brugler http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/mock-dr...expert/rob-rang http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/mock-dr...pert/pat-kirwan http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2015charlie.php

I was trying to think of outside the box ways to improve our defense and thought of Brown. He's a guy a lot of us wanted (and were surprised the Bears didn't take) over Jon Bostic. He hasn't seen the field much for Baltimore, partially because of injuries and partially because he's behind CJ Mosely and Daryl Smith, but he's had two years to absorb the 3-4 in one of the best places you can learn it. Wonder if it's worth calling Baltimore and offering a future pick whose value is dependent on games started/tackles/whatever. It would be interesting to see a young LB corps with Jones/Bostic/Brown/Young with a stud pass-rusher in the draft, Allen and McClellin in the mix, …

How so many on this board seem to think they have a handle on what this new regime is going to? We have to mesh guys from 3 different organizations just to form our offensive and defnsive schemes. We have no draft history on our FIRST TIME GM and his working reklationship with our NEW HEAD COACH and his coordinators. So tell me why do you think you know what this group is going to do on personnel moves etc.
