I am watching the Saints v Giants 2012. Bushrod is beast in run and pass blocking. On runs he has great foot speed and in pass blocking the only time Pierre Paul or Umenyora have gotten any pressure is Umenyora bull rushed him and had the advantage but Bushrod fought back and Brees was not touched. Webb would have been on his arse and Cutler being carried off. Only watched to halftime so far but left tackle will not be a concern next year on this performance. I remember last time we played giants Webb was killed. As a foot note Bennett was run blocking well and caught a TD and ran a good route.

I heard a rumor the other day from a reliable source that the Raiders would be willing to part with Rolando McClain for a very insignificant amount in trade. Possibly a 6th or 7th round draft pick. And that's IF he doesn't get released. Young, crazy talented, maybe a bit stupid, definitely a bit of a trouble maker, but a possibly cheap solution for the MLB situation in Chicago. For all capologists: What would he count against the cap if he were traded to the Bears?

Today was a great day for Phil Emery. He brought in one of the top TE's and a LT that has been to 2 probowls. Two positions that had cost the Bears many chances to win last season. It seems like we get a Christmas every offseason, which hopefully with some good drafts will not be needed in the future. We made a significant offer to Phil Loadholt to play RT for us. He resigned with Minnesota. If he signs with the Bears, J Webb is our starting LT pending the draft. I have no idea if we sign Scott or where Carimi plays. After he Loadholt passed, we signed Bushrod to play LT. Now we have have Carimi/Webb and a possible Scott battling for the RT position. It also makes the prospect of us drafting a tackle unlikely IMO. Who is the RT?
