Raiders | Porter intends to void remainder of deal Mon, 31 Dec 2007 09:10:04 -0800 Steve Corkran, of the Bay Area News Group, reports Oakland Raiders WR Jerry Porter intends to void the remainder of his current deal and enter free agency. If this happends I would seriously consider offering him a big deal to land a top tier WR, who still has alot of good years left in him and can be a game changer.

I know Nike recently came out with the new jerseys and we all had disagreements on if "classic" jerseys should be modernized, so I ask: what jerseys are your favorite and least favorite around the league? 2 or 3 of each would be fine.

After two straight losses, this is a must win if we want to have any chance at making the playoffs. If we can't beat the Jets at Soldier Field, we do not deserve to sniff the playoffs. We are favored by 9 and need to dominate for 60 minutes and put this team away. I am hoping for a better game all around. Please just have Cunningham kneel for every kickoff kicked in the end zone. Bears 31-17 Detroit is playing Seattle, Green Bay is playing in LA against the Rams, and Minnesota draws New Orleans at home. They all could easily lose, giving us a chance to leapfrog back to the top of the Division.

Brandon Moore was the starting RG for the Jets the past 4 years or so and was cut to save cap. He's a great run blocker and would be a perfect replacement for Garza (who needs to go). He's only 28 and has only been playing the OLine for about 6 years and still has room to improve.

Looking ahead slightly, this is a real blow to that Jets defense.

Was reading an article recently where allegedly Jim Harbaugh is "losing the locker room" in SF. This despite in his first three years he's compiled a 41-14 record. Allegedly one of the things that upset players was that he had the audacity to have the team scrimmage his brothers team this year in Baltimore. Of course there are a few other what appear minor issues the players don't like but I mean really? Is this not the pinnacle of self serving pathetic? I've seen all the quotes from Steve Young, Gannon, and others about how great a role Trestman played in their development. Those were all good to hear in terms of QB development. Not that he's probably in consideration but seeing Jim Mora (the younger one - currently UCLA HC) mentioned as a HC possibility for other teams. In keeping with the thought of second (or in his case third) chances, similar to Belichick or Carroll he could make a case for a decent comeback. Would he be someone the Bears should consider? He has clout, experience and a little edge. Although my #1 choice continues to be Shannahan. Then maybe Kubiak.

So when do you start or at least try out Clausen? Considering that Cutler doesn't appear to be a system QB perhaps Clausen would be a little better? I don't recall feeling as warm and fuzzy from his preseason play as I did with McCowns last year. But didn't Trestman work out Clausen when he was in college? Part of the reason he wanted him in Chicago? Must be something he sees / saw in him. If for nothing else having Cutler sit and stew on the sideline for a bit might do him good. Just sayin. Discuss.
