There must be something brewing. http://www.chicagobears.com/team/depth-chart.html And let's be honest, none of the backups right now could play LT at a high enough level.

Here are our rosters mine is on top highlighted in light blue He proposed a trade involving me sending him Ryan Mathews for Finley. IMO this weakens my RB's for a potential marginal upgrade at TE. While I don't mind dealing Matthews, it would leave me with 1 starting RB (and a temporary one at that) in Williams outside Forte and Lynch. I'm considering countering by including him giving me McFadden and I add someone like DeSean Jackson. Question is would you do it as is, counter with something similar to what I was thinking, or decline and shop elsewhere? I'd really like to have a third solid RB that could be a good RB2/flex. Though Trading Mathews…

Game winner thread. That was a huge win for the Bears. Big 11 point comeback. Big performance in the 2nd half. That was a really good team the Bears stood up and went blow for blow with.

After a shaky start Martellus certainly looks like a great signing. His catch in the end zone (out of bounds) was incredible but the fact he was hurt, stayed in and still made more plays including a twisting back shoulder grab that only the best WRs make to win the game was something we haven't seen in years from a TE. Greg Olsen wasn't even able to make as acrobatic catches as what we've seen from Bennett. Only two games in and he's played a key role in both victories. Teams are going to have to pay more attention to him in pass coverage and that will open things up even more for Forte and Jeffrey. Speaking of Forte: He quietly had a much better day than AP w…

Jay Cutler s Ranking through 5 games PCT- 5th Yards- 9th TD's- 5th INt- 7th (improvement needed here) QB rating- 11th On pace for 4,377.60 yards 32 Td's 19 INT All of this with a new line, new scheme and new coaching staff. Cutler and O are only going to get better as the season goes on. He does have more weapons this year. The 3 biggest area's of concern 1. Reading the D, Jay is not picking up Blitzes. NO showed blitz a couple of times in the first half and he never picked up on it. 2. The "Bad Jay" throws. When you watch a guy like Drew Breese you rarely see him make the WTF was he doing throw. There was one pass against N…

Just changed the entire future of the NFC North with one play. Played the game of his life tonight. 3 sacks, and multiple pressures. Hats off to him. Hopefully this gets him going. He may have just revived our playoff hopes by knocking Rodgers out of the game. Somewhere Phil Emery has a smile as wide as the Grand Canyon.

With Kubiak gone, it would seem like Lovie is a logical choice for the position. What do you guys think? They are a much better team than their record, and they pretty much have the #1 pick wrapped up. Seems like a great situation for a new coach as the team cannot perform any worse.

  10. I have ever seen. There were plenty of chances to get back into that game. We finally make it into the redzone, two piss poor sacks takes us out of field goal range. Then we get pinned back on the 1 yard liine down 24-3 in the third and they give up a safety. It started out hosed up and just kept getting worse. I hope this game was a wake up call. If they dont come out at home against the Packers with fire shooting out of their asses I'll probably lose it!!!

Brad Biggs ‏@BradBiggs 3m #Bears have re-signed C Roberto Garza to a 1-year contract. Garza wasn't bad at all last year, it certainly helped him to have competent guards on both sides of him, so I'm cool with this. With Garza and Boggs re signed I can't imagine they draft a center now. Deal is for 1.5M, not sure if its all cap money or what, I'm sure it will get broke down later

Now that the draft is over, do the Bears make any free agent moves? Any guys on other teams at QB or WR in danger of being cut because of the additions made by their teams? I was thinking maybe Josh Johnson would be the odd man out in Tampa Bay, but it may end up being Griese. The Giants, Dolphins, Jaguars, and Browns all made a couple of early picks at WR, but it's hard to imagine the Bears wanting any of the guys who would get cut (with the possible exception of Ernest Wilford in Miami). I can't help but think with so many young WRs on this roster, and such a young offense in general, you need a strong veteran presence to help move them along. The only veteran offensive…

  20. From the Sun-Times this morning: "If the varied opinions on the Bears' acquisition of Jay Cutler has bothered the quarterback, he certainly didn't show it Saturday when he made his first Chicago appearance for his foundation working with kids with diabetes. 'I think every quarterback in the NFL has a lot of pressure,' Cutler said. 'Anywhere you go you're going to have pressure. Obviously, Chicago has great fans and great tradition. They expect a lot. And, I expect a lot out of myself. It's going to be a fun year.' Tony Dungy, Mike Ditka and Rodney Harrison have all questioned Cutler to some degree in recent weeks, and the quarterback had not visited with me…
