We're some 40 hours free of the end of the draft and a lot of thoughts have been kicking around my head about these guys. Probably yours too. So let's get them out there. With apologies to Peter King, here's some things I think I think: 2a. Kyler Gordon, CB, Washington - The one pick I got right in my mock, and I wasn't at all sure about it because it heard that CB is not a priority in the Flus defense. Still, I always saw #2 CB as the biggest weakness on this team as a whole - I don't trust Graham (yet), Vildor is still not ready, and the rest of the guys are slot guys. GMs, I have renewed our annual TalkBears Fantasy Football Keeper league, which is now entering its 15th season (which is crazy). At the end of last season, there were 9 GMs that said they would be returning. An email invite went out on June 17th from Yahoo, but I definitely want to get confirmation on the 9 GMs returning from last year and ask if there is any interest from the board or you know of someone else for filling in the 10th spot. With Preseason Game 3 being the last preseason game, this will more than likely be the last game we see Caleb and most of the starters in until Week 1 against TEN. Btw, the early line for Week 1, Bears are 4 point favorites as of today.

It's not signed sealed or delivered yet, but it sounds like Dennis Allen is our likely DC. He's been a head coach twice, so it's not likely he will get another head coaching job soon. He's an aggressive coach who wont sit back in zone all the time. We will live and die by this, but at least our players will get the chance to compete and dominate. So I keep looking at everything I can regarding draft options at #10 and I’m having a hard time. Let me know where I’m wrong: -At Edge, you have guys with horrible sack production like Mykal Williams (who just ran a 4.8 40 at his pro day - no thanks) and Shemar Sanders (4.5 sacks total in 3 years), then guys with decent production who seem too light for 4-3 end like Mike Green and Jalon Walker (who’s probably a LB anyway). DT - Mason Graham maybe if he’s there but he probably won’t be and I don’t think Grant/Harmon/Nolen are worth the pick at #10. 1. Knox played well on ST. 2. Podlesh wasn't great, and Gould missing that cheapy is a tad scary. 3. The OL was brutal, but I liked what I saw out of Spencer. granted it was vs Buffalo's second teamers. If he isn't the starting C by week 1, I'd be shocked (move Garza to OG, bench Louis, Spencer at C). 4. Enderle was decent, Chris Harris had a huge hit, and Adams played a nice game at WR. Not that I give a s***, but Fantuz didn't touch the field and Sanzenbacher didn't catch a pass. 5. I loved the way Barber ran. Okoye was a beast tonight as well.

What are your thoughts on their performance so far? 1st - Williams 2nd - Forte 3rd - Bennett 3rd - Harrison 4th - Steltz 5th - Bowman 5th - Davis 6th - Baldwin (gone) 7th - ? Sorry Adam, I've been waiting but we gotta get this in gear. I don't expect much with Whitehair and Montgomery out this week. Things will only be tougher on Fields in the passing game and without Montgomery this week we'll struggle again to get the tough yards (3rd and short) where Herbert struggles. Prediction: Bears loss

So it looks like Micah Parsons wants a trade. Hes only 26 and hes a dominant edge rusher. We sure could use him. Trade values I've seen look like the Khalil Mack trade tho. 2026 1st round pick 2026 2nd round pick 2027 1st round pick Montez Sweat and more Its a steep price, and Parsons would eat up a lot of cap with a new deal too. But as i think it through, a few thoughts come to mind: 1) Next years 1st is no problem, because we were probably going to use it to draft a DE anyway.
