Hi everyone! Last year's Talkbears mock draft was enjoyable enough for me that I figured WTH, I'll do it again. I'm open to formatting suggestions, but here's a basic outline. Each participant picks a team, or multiple teams if you'd like. From the moment we start, you're the GM. You want to trade picks, you want to bring Cutler to the Bears, whatever you want to do, do it. (2009 picks traded in the 2008 Talkbears Mock Draft do not count ). My goal is to start the draft process on Monday, March 30th, give or take. What are your thoughts on their performance so far? 1st - Williams 2nd - Forte 3rd - Bennett 3rd - Harrison 4th - Steltz 5th - Bowman 5th - Davis 6th - Baldwin (gone) 7th - ? Throw in Hanie as UDFA and DA and Roach who we snagged off of other teams practice squads. To me, this is actually shaping up as a fairly good group. Thoughts? Peace

Between the draft and FAgency we need several spots to upgrade. We cant fix everything in one season,so these are the positions I think immediate upgrade. OL-I think we need to grab a 1st round OT, there seems to be 5 listed as 1st round grades, but will need more research to pinpoint what valve that will be at with the 20th pick. I also think we need to bring in a OG,OC in FAgency to add to the mix. Lance Louis will need to be resigned then possible names to go after Levirte-Buf (bright future) Valquiez-SD (a younger guy with some upside) for OC spots-Faine-Cinn or Koppen-Den would come from 2 stong Olines. Sorry Adam, I've been waiting but we gotta get this in gear. I don't expect much with Whitehair and Montgomery out this week. Things will only be tougher on Fields in the passing game and without Montgomery this week we'll struggle again to get the tough yards (3rd and short) where Herbert struggles. However the Vikings, despite being 3-1, are bottom third in both pass and run defense so they don't appear to be as good as they were in years past. Prediction: Bears loss

So it looks like Micah Parsons wants a trade. Hes only 26 and hes a dominant edge rusher. We sure could use him. Trade values I've seen look like the Khalil Mack trade tho. 2026 1st round pick 2026 2nd round pick 2027 1st round pick Montez Sweat and more Its a steep price, and Parsons would eat up a lot of cap with a new deal too. But as i think it through, a few thoughts come to mind: 1) Next years 1st is no problem, because we were probably going to use it to draft a DE anyway.
