It has the Bears taking WR Michael Floyd. That'd be good with me. Interestingly, it also has Mohamed Sanu going before Alshon Jeffrey.

He has us taking Chris Williams and he has Mendenhall going at #15. I'd love it if we signed a guy like Max Starks, let St. Clair play left guard, and went after Mendenhall. It's not likely going to happen though. This was posted yesterday on ESPN INsider Miami remains mum on No. 1 overall pick By Mel Kiper Jr. ESPN.com (Archive) Updated: March 4, 2008 Comment Email Print A few notes from my second first-round projection for April's NFL draft: • The most notable change between my initial first-round projection and this one is that I have Virginia defensive end Chris Long going No. 1 overall to the Miami Dolphins. I’m sure you can find his comments but his overall grade was a B. His biggest concern was we didn’t get an Edge. A concern we all share.

Why is there no talk about Kirk Cousins? Pretty good TD to INT ratio. Good accuracy. Tons of yards. Young enough to be the QB of the foreseeable future. No question marks about his ability to play in the NFL or whether the coaches/scheme is the reason he's succeeding (JG Because he'd likely take $20M? That's kind of the going market, right? And the Bears have a ton of cap space, right? Hell, when the Bears dump a player or two (Houston and Royal), they'll have at least $10M more. And wouldn't he be more likely to leave Washington than Berry leaving KC? Next you'll say, what about Alshon? Well, he's going to command more than he's worth, and he doesn…

If ever there was a guy who is mentally prepared to handle a big media market it is Kizer. Very well spoken answered all questions with class and his answer about Brian Kelley's comments about him staying in school was"Its true I did have 2 more years and I do have room to grow and at 21 years old I am young". " Trying to be a starter in the league against guys like Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers who have been pros since I've been playing football tells me I have room to grow". The last Notre Dame player I really wanted the Bears to draft was Chris Zorich who said he would pay to play for the Bears. I have been a Mahomes guy all along but, I liked how Kizer handled himself w…

Kmet may have just had his worst game as a pro. They are overpaying for a very average TE. Too many drops and penalties for a veteran. DBs should not be able to tackle him so easily. I would consider trading him before the deadline for anything if Loveland is healthy. I really like him as a person, but he continually underwhelms and has seemed to take a huge step back this year.

Knee surgery knocks Manumaleuna out of minicamp Posted by Michael David Smith on May 21, 2010 12:12 PM ET Chicago Bears tight end Greg Olsen says that after some initial apprehension, he feels confident about his role in new coordinator Mike Marz's offense. That's especially good news for the Bears because the tight end who already knows his role in Martz's offense, Brandon Manumaleuna, is sidelined at the moment. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that Manumaleuna, who previously played for Martz in St. Louis and was signed by the Bears on the first day of free agency, is sidelined during this weekend's minicamp after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.…

BOURBONNAIS — One week into training camp it would appear Jay Cutler has a new favorite target, or Mike Martz does anyway. But the new offensive coordinator said it's just by chance that receiver Johnny Knox has been targeted considerably more times than the other options in the offense after nine practices. According to the Tribune's chart of 11-on-11 and seven-on-seven drills to this point, Knox has been targeted 55 times, 16 more than Devin Hester and Greg Olsen. "We're installing right now and depending on the coverages the ball will go different places," Martz said. "Everything we script is just plays going in so it depends on what the defense is doing. Bec…
