Similar injury as what Freeman was lost for the year on. Brutal since they were are two starters...2 weeks into the season and the injuries really piling up (2nd consecutive year). Football is such a brutal sport.

I don't know about you, but I didn't expect this kind of season from our kicker. Santos broke all kinds of franchise records and ended the season making 27 straight kicks. His only misses were from 46 and 52, with one blocked XP. I really hope we can lock him up for a few years and not have to worry about kicking. Then our favorite ex-kicker Parkey is prepping to let down another entire fanbase in Cleveland in the playoffs.

Of the 76 kicker/punters in the database, Gould finished 75th (in terms of Value-Added) with a -13.4 and O'Donnell finished 42nd with a -1.6. Loved watching Berrain play with a qb that sucks more then our 1st and 2nd string qbs. What was he thinking going to a team that has one of the best running games in the NFL and one of the worst throwing qb in the NFL. He is going to have a long year. I pray that we beat the shit out of the Vikings... Oh wait we play Mushin this week, lets beat is face into the ground first.

The bears who have always been a Defensive Minded Team is now an Offensive minded team, which is the trend of the NFL. The team that has the Best D beats the shit out of the team with the Best O. Last years SB had two Defensive Minded teams in the SB. If the Bears can some how get the D fixed to be at least in the TOP 15 with a Top 10 O I will like our chances.

A video is out on ESPN.com with Mel Kiper and Todd McShay discussing the draft. Surprisingly, Kiper picked the Bears as the team that helped itself the most for this year. He also said we had the best UDFA signing in Caleb Hanie, saying he has an NFL arm and could be a quality starter in the future. You know me, I could give a crap what Kiper says, but it was nice to see the good pub.

They say he isn't a 3 down player, but brings a pass rush on passing downs. But we don't line up in 3-4 in passing downs, we line up at Nickel, and 4-3 ends like Willie Young are more suited to a 3 point stance than this kid. Kiper isnt paying attention.
