Did anyone pick up on something I missed? I didn't hear a definitive answer on that process. From the presser, I took away this. -They wouldn't rule out hiring a Coach first -When asked who would hire the GM and Coach, George and Teddy committed to final say on the GM but no mention of the coach -Multiple times, they commented on Accorsi being hired through the process of finding a GM and a coach -The specifically mentioned that half a dozen representatives for coaches had contacted them, and they add to the list once it's sorted out I don't know if the Bears are going to relegate to a GM the ability to hire the new coach.

  7. Didn't know where else to put this, so just created a new thread. Given that we spent the time to interview him, he's clearly someone on the radar. Tweet was from Peter King of SI. There was talk that Quinn was hoping to work with the Vikings Asst. Gm, who turned down all interviews and chose to stay in Minny.

Anyone else enjoy the second half of the NFC title game? That was a heck of a comeback by Seattle outscoring the packers 22-6 in the second half and scoring the winning TD in overtime. Packers came within a favorable call of getting knocked out last week and this week they got off to a good start but got owned when it mattered. I kept waiting for some BS call to bail out the Packers but it didn't come and they are sent home with no super bowl.

Talked Mariotta and Winston. Said he's still very early in his film sessions but from the QB coaches, scouts and other offensive coaches he talked to, there was zero debate that Winston has everything you want to see on the football. Instinctive thrower who anticipates openings very well, tough, all the measureable's, high football IQ, etc. Said all reports are that his work ethic is strong and he's extremely well liked in the lockeroom and considered a good leader. Really only knock is the off the field issues. When talking Marcus, it was basically that he individually has the tools, however, most everyone is scared as to how he'll handle the pro system and can he a…

    1. Shane Ray DE/OLB Seeing Aldon Smith flourish in Fangio's D makes him a favoritefor this pick 2.Denzel Perryman ILB This could be the leader we need on defense. 3.Jamison Crowder WR/KR Grew tired of seeing the kneel down or the tackle before the 20 on kickoffs 4.Donovan Smith OT We need to have some young OL in place for future 6. Anthony Jefferson SS Lets try again! 7 Tyler Heincke QB This may be a fantasy. His height not ideal but he needs a good showing at the combine to be drafted.

read this somewhere and gives some info on Fangio and how it fits. Call it what you will but Fangio's defense is not a straightforward vanilla 3-4. His NT still plays a one gap shade position which actually does fit a guy like Stephen Paea and they can also use Ratliff in that.e role. Fangio plays his other DT as a 3 tech similar to a one gap 4-3 so Sutton is not a waste and Paea and Ratliff can also play that position. If Houston recovers from his injury and starts playing heads up ball again if he can add back 10-15 lbs he can play the RDE spot Justin Smith plays in SF which is where Houston played in Oakland and possibly rotate with Jared Allen there provided Alle…

Was going to post the link but it was a quick blurb. It said the Jets are more than likely going to cut Percy Harvin and that the Bears and Raiders are already early suitors. I hope this is only speculative rumor. Can't see it working out well. He's the true definition of locker room distraction.

Comments out of the Forte camp: Trying to get public opinion on his side if he goes? Why even respond to things like this? They happen all the time.

2012 Stats Bradford - 82.6 QB Rating, 59.5 Comp%, 3702 Yards, 21 TD, 13 INT Cutler - 81.3 QB Rating, 58.8 Comp%, 3033 Yards, 19 TD, 14 INT 2015 Cap Hit: Bradford - $16,580,000 ($3,595,000 dead money) Cutler - $16,500,000 ($19,500,000 dead money) Would you even consider something like this? We get a serviceable QB that at least showed signs of putting it together, except for the injuries. We would get cap flexibility since it is the last year of his contract. We always could cut him later and only take a $3.5 cap hit. If he looks legit, extend his contract and cut the cap hit in half.

So I saw some blurb on NFL Network link (I'm not at home to verify) that the Saints are 'shopping several players including Jimmy Graham". WOW! And as I'm looking at the feed something popped up about the Saints and Seahawks are working a deal as we speak for Graham. NO I DO NOT ENDORSE ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM GOING AFTER GRAHAM!!!! Are there any defensive players worth perusing? EDIT: Wow this moved quick. According to Rappaport the deal is near done. Graham and a 4th to Seattle for Unger (Max I presume?) and a 1st.

  20. They both came in for meetings but have not signed yet...... Are they waiting to see if they can get better deals? I really would like to see Royal sign. Rolle from what his stats look like last year can still be productive so I would be happy with him as well. Pot Roast from everything I have read is wanting too much money, hoping the Bears can make it work with him as it opens up what they can do draft day. Any word on Foster at LB??? With the signing of Pernell does that eliminate Brooks from consideration?
