After a shaky start Martellus certainly looks like a great signing. His catch in the end zone (out of bounds) was incredible but the fact he was hurt, stayed in and still made more plays including a twisting back shoulder grab that only the best WRs make to win the game was something we haven't seen in years from a TE. Greg Olsen wasn't even able to make as acrobatic catches as what we've seen from Bennett. Only two games in and he's played a key role in both victories. I like Robert Schmitz' work. Listen to the end when he talks about how important having the right safety to pair with Jackson is. He said rule of 3, and that's true but we also have guys like RRH and Nichols who are capable of some good pass rushes at times as well, just enough to potentially cause havoc.

As the season closes, the Bears will be looking at these names and others to add to the 2018 roster. I targeted what should be the the focal point of OLB, OT, and WR at the 7,8, or 9 slot. They may surprise us with a CB, S, G or another position, feel free to throw more names. Is there a player that we cannot pass if a trade down offer arises? The Bears need to hit a homerun once again with 3 to 4 additions. Do they trade down for quantity or take the quality.

The Bears have hired Dwayne Stukes and Sean Desai to be the assistant ST coach and one of the defensive QB coaches, respectively. Stukes played in the NFL, NFL Europe, and the AFL and last coached in the NFL in 2011 as Tampa Bay's ST coach. Sean Desai has been in the college ranks including times at Miami, Boston College, and Temple. This is interesting because he has an Indian last name. I wonder if 1) he is Indian and 2) how many other Indian coaches are in the NFL? They also have hired Tim Tibesar as the LB coach. Pro Football Weekly was rating the best divisions and the North had a slight edge over the NFC East. Hey its a slow topic time of the year. I agree with them, I think the Packers are the best team in football and Detroit and The Bears will have above 9 win seasons, so that should put them over the hump.
