  1. Here is what I would like to happen in the draft.(not necessary what I think will happen) At 19-we trade down with Houston to 26 and get there 4th(4) and 5th(161). At 26-we pick Perry/DE logic-Houston wants a WR and Wright is still there at 19 and he played at Baylor. at 50- we pick Massie/LT fills a need and could become a starter if Webb fails later in year. at 79-we pick T. Johnson/CB- big with the potenial to start in first year. at 99-we pick A. J. Jenkins/WR- adds to our depth with speed and production. at 111-we pick Jaye Howard/DT- a rotation guy takes Okoyes place. at 150-we pick A. Allen/SS-depth with size and production at 161-we pick Mann…

  2. Round 1 - Jonathan Martin OT Stanford also on the board when we pick: Whitney Mercilus DE IL Dre Kirkpatrick CB AL Stephen Hill WR GT Mike Adams OT Oh St This is a no brainer, but it would've been tough if Quentin Coples was still there which he was taken #18 by SD. The glaring holes on the team are OLT, DE, and DT. Round 2 - Bruce Irvin DE West Virginia also on the board when we pick: Mohammed Sanu WR Rutgers Zebrie Sanders OLT FL St Coryell Judie CB Tex AM Casey Hayward CB Vand The Bears worked out Irvin and like his athletiscm. He will come in as a situational pass rusher and learn the ropes from Peppers. Round 3 - T…

So Iv'e been thinking a lot about this FA offseason and made comments on how I would do things differently. Seems it was unpopular as an opinion. So, I'm having my coffee and thinking out loud. Here's my position by position thoughts on where we are. QB, IMO is more than good. I was OK with McCown and Enderle as backups. That being said, I feel better about QB than EVER. QB is definately upgraded, with a sidenote of cost. WR was a huge position of need. I am more than happy with Marshall. Cutler is putting his clout to work with team and I really trust him if he vouches for someone. I'd be awesome to see Knox as the speed compliment to Marshall, but I don't see …

Lets say I wanted to play for the Bears. Can I walk on like some do in college or do I need an agent to get me a tryout?

Would anyone be interested in trading down? They could get a lower 1st, still get Nick Perry, and add a 3rd. Thoughts?

I don't know a thing about these guys but they can't be studs given the one year deals they're signing.

Per Twitter: JasonLaCanfora CB Kelvin Hayden agreed to terms with Bears on a 1yr deal 12 minutes ago. I like it. Should be good to have another body in CB, if for nothing else competition.

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post..._medium=twitter It's interesting to me that the Bears seem to be more focused on OGs in the offseason (Steinbach, Herrera) that OTs. I wonder what the Bears are really thinking for a line-up next year. Lovie recently said that he could see Chris Williams at any position on the line but center and even hinted that they thought Carimi might get a shot at LT if Webb struggled (http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2012/03/lovie_smith_casts_support_for_.html).

Denver Washington @ NY Giants @ Cleveland Cool schedule. Peyton Manning and RG3 coming to Chicago, and they'll go to Eli's house and play in Cleveland who will have the 4th overall pick.

Close to the draft, looking at what we got; QB- With Cutler, Campbell, and McGown, we now have a legit backups for a potential problem. Throw Enderle to the scrap heap. RB-Forte, Bush,Bell,Allen and throw in Klutz and we wont be drafting at this position. I would say rock solid at RB. TE-Davis, Spaeth, Adams stick and the A. Smith, and D. Ross will be gone. Not a position of strength but a wait to see with Davis. I dont think think we will draft. WR- Marshall,Bennett,Hester,Davis, Weems,Thomas, Sanz, and Komar. I dont count Knox because I dont think he plays this year. We still need to draft another prospect to be a #2. I think Bennett is a #3 on a goo…

http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?STORY_ID=8716 McShay sees Bears drafting Stanford tackle By: Larry Mayer | Last Updated: 4/2/2012 9:23 AM In his latest mock draft, ESPN analyst Todd McShay is predicting that the Bears will select Stanford offensive tackle Jonathan Martin with the 19th pick in the first round. Jonathan Martin “Martin needs to add some strength, but he could pair with 2011 first-round OT Gabe Carimi to give offensive coordinator Mike Tice a pair of bookends to coach up,” McShay writes. McShay also believes that the Bears will choose Clemson tight end Dwayne Allen in the second round (50th overall). The Bears…
