If I were running the show I'd want to do two main things, and one supplementary thing: -Shore up the OL by picking a LT that can start day-one. -Pick long, rangy, athletic defensive players to infuse the team with some burst. *Use late picks on risks with great reward. Here's how I'd do it. 1. Ronnie Stanley, LT, ND (Bookend for a decade) 2. Artie Burns, CB, Miami (Shutdown corner. Perfect fit with great potential.) 3. Carl Nassib, DE, PSU (Love his drive, determination, length. Perfect 5T for the Bears.) 4. Dak Prescott, QB, MSU (The more I watch of him, the more underrated I think he is. He has great potential.) 4. Jerell Adams, TE, SC (Big…

Not surprising at all. He had his hand on the ground a lot more today while the Bears were in nickel and he still didn't make any plays. If we can get a 6th for him, I say let's move on.

I know we have low expectations, but if the team was going to make a legit shot at the playoffs, who is the key to success? If this player fails, the team is going to struggle?

I've been on vacation from Bears chat because I needed a break from the idiocy of how our team is run. I even wrote George McCaskey a letter at the end of the season to express my unapproval for how the team is run by Nagy and Pace. None of that has changed. What did change is we drafted Justin Fields. He's a football player and game changer. Pace did nothing but get lucky with him falling far enough to take him. He still has yet to help much drafting the O all the while giving up picks and depth. I feel we are never going to get over the hump with Pace and Nagy. Fields can still be great, but he can't change every playcall Nagy makes at the LOS. I see this team …

This kid reminds me of Thomas Jones a little. Not only in running style but work ethic. I can see why we brought him for a look. Did not have a good 40 time but plays fast. http://www.athleticnetwork.net/site.php?pa...amp;newsID=7155 Will ta'ufo'ou ( say that 10 times ) FB is interesting as well. He will definately bring competition at FB. http://ballhype.com/video/will_ta_ufo_ou_career_highlights/ Hey look Tom Waddle born again, Eric Peterman.

  7. http://www.foxsportshouston.com/11/18/11/F...amp;feedID=3714 How wicked would a Peppers/Mario Williams d line look in Chicago? I forgot he was even a free agent. It doesn't look like the Texans are going to be able to franchise him, so the possibility of him leaving becomes significantly greater. Obviously the Bears have some of their own issues, as far as long term contracts are concerned, and I'm not sure what there money situation looks like for next season, but that would be quite a splash to sign this guy.

I was just on Facebook and a Chicago thing I am comnected to call Chicsgo Hoody threw an interesting idea out there for the next GM Da Bears should hire, Not sure it would happen however, I kind of like the idea of bringing back Da Coach as the GM. Imagine the intensity around Halas Hall with Da' Coach back in charge of something so important. Something tells me Lovie would not last the 2012 season and who knows who Da Coach would bring in to take over. Just something to dream about in my opinion. What do you think?

Citing two NFL sources, AOL Sports' Sean Jensen reports Randy Moss is expected to sign a "multi-year deal" to stay in New England. Jensen writes from Minnesota, so he probably has close ties to Moss or his agent. Jensen believes the contract is expected to be for three years and $30 million with $12-15 million guaranteed. A lot of news that comes out at this time of year is misdirection, but this makes sense. Jensen adds that impending free agent Lance Briggs is slated to sign with San Francisco.

Players are starting to fall so what does that tell us? Henne/QB--2 year-8 mil Cassal/QB-2 year-10 mil Probably means we say good bye to McCown--a better QB than the two mentioned and we wont be paying that kind of money for a backup QB Shields/CB-4year-39 mil Ross/CB-1 year-570 k Greenwood/CB-1 year-570 k Grimes/CB-4 year-32 mil Hall/CB-4 year-17 mil Hayden-1 year-840k Probably means Peanut will be closer to Hall (30) money I would say a 2 year 6.5 mil(dont see the Bears paying that) Pollard/S-2 year-6.3 Allen/S- 1 year-955k Stuckey/S-4 year-? Were looking at Mundy and Mitchell I would say contracts if we sign them will be a…

Barring any last-minute stat updates, Nopper gets the win of the year, after losing 10 straight, they come out and beat PapaBear by the smallest margin of victory that I can remember in our league, eeking out a 0.02 pt victory over PapaBear 149.68 to 149.66 as Chris Carson loses a yard rushing in the last few seconds of garbage time vs Minnesota on MNF. If he doesn't lose the yard, PapaBear wins and is the #5 seed. SuperBearsSuperBowl beats MadLith, knocking him out of the playoff picture and jumping up to the #5 Seed. Seeds 1-4 were unchanged by the games this week. Week 14 Week 15 Week 16 (Championship) 1 --- R…

Everyone is a spectator right now, 9 hours from opening of free agency. One source I trust said: "I expect the Bears to hit it big." source added: "This is it. There is no draft. They have to come out w/ 4 or 5 players. The #Bears will not be outbid. It's in their budget." All I can say is we haven't seen the #Bears, not under Jerry Angelo or anyone else, come out writing checks like that in free agency. So get your popcorn ready for tonight, or set your alarm. This will be interesting to watch. Can you imagine if they don't strike in FA?

And there it is according to Adam Shefter trubisky will make his NFL debut against the Vikings on MNF

  20. Week 17 - Flexed to the afternoon slot to align with LAR/SF and PHI/WAS games. Early line has the Vikings favored by 5. If they are assuming we are resting starters, fine, but it seems odd that the Vikings are favored by more than 3 at home against an 11-4 team. In comparison, the Ravens are favored by 5.5 at home against Cleveland. A lot on the line. Potential to get a first-round bye with a win and Rams loss. Also, the outcome of our game directly impacts who we play as the #6 seed. If we play everyone, I think we win another tough game 23-20. If we rest players, I think Minnesota wins 27-17.
