I actually found the part on one of our practice squaders, Thompson, more interesting. Would seem like he's a potential candidate to take on a greater role from a special teams perspective (as he continues to heal from his own injury which led to him being cut from the Bills).

Davis needs to be cut, and TE needs to be a priority along with OL in FA and the draft. Not that you didn't know this, just more confirmation of how bad Davis was/is.

No matter what metric you use, Johnson is near the top for all CBs this season. As much as I am on Pace about Kmet and other draft picks not to be named here, Johnson was a steal in the 2nd round. It almost makes Pace look dumb for not drafting Johnson first. I was just hoping for play equivalent to Prince, but Johnson has far exceeded that and at times has been the best DB on the team, which says a lot. If he keeps this up, he has a chance at Rookie, Pro-Bowl, and possibly All-Pro honors. He will need a few INTs to be in the All-Pro discussion, but he is right there right now in every other metric.

Since we got Marshall....I think our focus in FA should be with Nicks from the Saints and Winston from the Texans. With those two we could have a great Oline for Cutler. Some same Winston is a RT...so put himthere and move Gabe to the left. I would be better than Webb right? So where does Nicks play LG..then move Williams to RG...let them (Spencer,Williams) fight it out. Or you can line then up this way...sure will be better than last years line!!! They're sitting at #3 and nobody will trade with them. The QB they want is not graded out as worth the #3 pick, but they're not completely sure he's going to be there at the top of the second round.

If we really had our team together ........coaches.....we should have been in the playoffs last year with a 12-4 record. We lost four games last year and gave away the other six. But its was the first year of the Fox era...so it will pass. Alford is the new signee at WR. Not a big guy but has speed. I think they will throw him on the outside and let him run to loosen up the tight d on the run game and underneath wr routes

Yesterday sucked. But I didn't see us losing that game until that botched long run allowed on D in OT. I kept thinking we'd overcome. Losing it sucked. There's tons of blame to go around. We've all touched upon those elements. 1. Coaching (bad play calling on O and D) 2. Execution (Cutler's stupid pick on 3rd and short) 3. Bad luck (Marshall getting stripped) 4. The usual blah blah from him ,he praised Hester said that they didn't play defense like they would have like(no sh--) and that they need to clean things up. When the reporters started asking him some pointed questions about acquiring players like Steve Smith he made a couple of comments and then the press conference ended shortly after that.

With the season now officially over (as opposed to when it was essentially over two months ago), what does this team actually need to do in the offseason? It's easy to look at this team and see nothing but holes, but without their first two picks (which hurts both for draft and for trade purposes), it's hard to see how they can fix, or even patch, everything. So, let's look at this team: QB: It'll be Cutler and Hanie, but am I the only one who would kind of like to see a veteran QB on this team?
