Supposed to be a really good teammate. Has injury / concussion issues, which some say are why he has been blackballed from the league. Personally I think he'd be a good guy to have around. Knows how to win.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000052...-was-all-in-fun Perhaps you heard about McCarthy spouting off about what will inevitability hold true? What troubles me is not that he said it but how it appears he feels he has to apologize for saying it. What happened to the days of posting comments like this on the bulletin board for motivating our team to prove him wrong? Or to simply challenge us (Bears) in bringing our A game rather than suck like we've done for the last 10-11 games? Heck like the article points out, Fox even admits to a degree that McCarthy is right or least substantiated in his bravado. This sport is barbaric in nature and has no room for poli…

I said it and a lot of others said it, the Bears were way to predictable last year. I remember being at the games calling out plays before the snap. I was drunk to boot. http://www.csnchicago.com/bears/bears-mart...ense-empowering From the article : “At first [the Trestman offense] was difficult to learn but after you got it, it pretty much was what it was, no changes week to week,” Bennett said. “We ran the same offense no matter what… . Last year we ran the same stuff no matter what. It was predictable. If it was third down and the down-and-distance was something, I could call a play before it came in.

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago-bears/post...of-olb-sam-acho I knew he was sick, but to the point where his contract was terminated? This is odd. [uPDATE] Looks like they expect him to be out a couple of weeks, so as to not have portions of his salary count against the cap (the weeks he is out), they terminated him before Week 1. If they bring him back, he will be paid on a week to week basis. So in the end seems to be a smart fiscal move on the Bears part.

There are a lot of good teams in this league, you guys must all be smart, it is hard for me to draft a good team in this league. I see my team as middle of the pack in this group. Teams I like in no particular order. Balls, Crushers and Nopper with Bell back in a couple of weeks. My strong points are Gronk,Ben,Cobb and Lacy but my #2 WR and #2 RBs could end up dooming me. Some of you have one weak spot, but I see a couple on mine that will lead to to many losses. Good luck to you guys, but make no mistake about it, I want to kick you ass, and my smack talk will all be in good fun , so dont take it to personal. I will have to say it is hard for me to…

Crazy seeing some of these QB performances today. Flacco, thanks Trestman, was the worst starting QB this week. 18-32, 117 yards, 2 INT (1 Pick-6), and a 38.2 Passer Rating. Adding to that, they lost Suggs for the year. Manning looked equally horrible throwing a Pick-6 and ending with a 59.9 Passer Rating and 4 sacks. Rivers, even though he threw for 404 yards, had 2 horrible INTs (one in the endzone). Stafford had 2 picks (and a 3rd overturned) and could've probably had 5 INTs if the defense didn't drop them. Luck had 2 picks and did not look good against Buffalo Wilson had a pick and was sacked 6 times.

Offense: Plays from scrimmage - 71 (3rd) Yards - 402 (5th) Yards/Play - 5.7 (6th) 1st/G - 25 (2nd) 3rd Down Made - 11 (1st) 3rd Down % - 65% (1st) 4th Down Made - 2 (1st) TOP - 31:52 (10th) Rush Att - 33 (5th) Rushing Yards - 189 (1st) YPC - 5.7 (1st) Defense: Yards - 322 (6th) So by the numbers, it really wasn't a bad game. The goal line turnover on downs was the turning point for me. The Packers just had a 10 minute drive for a TD, and then we drive down 78 yards in 3 minutes looking to tie the game and we don't score. We were so good on the ground that it is hard to believe we would pass 3 consecutive times from the 2. For next…

Seriously...it's not even worth looking up this bums name. Who the hell is he? Why is he starting? And why did he look slower than Jamarcus Russell, post-weight gain, running on the beach? No way in hell that guy should be the starting return man. All joking aside, I think there is a good chance several people on this board is faster than he is.

The Bears currently ranked 25th in the power rankings played the 3rd ranked Packers who were very close to playing in the Super Bowl 8 months ago. New Staff, New Scheme's and some new players! Last year the Bears got embarrassed by the Packers twice. Leading up to this game I was not very excited due to how BAD the Bears were last year. After watching the game I am very excited about the direction of this team. 1. We were leading at half......Holy crap. 2. They ran the shit about of the ball..........amazing, I loved it. 3. Forte is really underappreciated around the league. 4. James Jones first TD was actually covered well but he made a …

  16. So not only did everyone know what we were doing offensively...evidently they knew what we were doing defensively last year. This was out of Biggs 10 thought on Bears piece.

MN offensive game plan was terrible. I love that they did NOT run AP like years past. Every time they ran a set were Teddy was under center they ran a play action pass. They pretty much ran AP out of the shotgun. I think that is crazy stupid. If they continue this it should help when the Bears play them. Im sure AP will get more comfortable in the shotgun but he is very dangerous when he gets going and has room to cut, out the shotgun he did not have very much run to get going. I have AP in my FF and clearly I hated this, but the Bears winning is way more important! lol

I assume he'll end up on the practice squad. Who will take his spot on the 53?

  20. Started by AZ54,

Looking ahead to this week's matchup against Arizona I think we have a shot to win. It's always hard to say what you have on a team (theirs or ours) after week 1 but I think we matchup better here for one simple reason: Carson Palmer is more Jay Cutler than he is Aaron Rodgers. Despite all the media hype and love of Palmer I've seen him have equally bad games as Cutler, often worse. He can make equally nice throws into coverage too so you just don't know what you'll get. He is a stationary target and that will help our pass rushers quite a bit, especially if we can get some pressure up the middle. Larry Fitzgerald: He's not as quick or as fast as he used to b…
