Bearstalk

Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. Try to keep it clean and most importantly BEAR DOWN! #BEARS #CHICAGOBEARS #BEARDOWN

  1. This guy might be an offensive genius but it won't matter if he continues to call games like this game and the one last week. The 7 pts that Atlanta got was from Cutler dropping back, getting the ball tipped and intercepted. Okay, that happens...NOT TO GOOD OCs it doesn't. We never should have been throwing at that point. We needed to run out the clock. 10 running plays against N.O.? And Forte had a 30 yd run early? WTF is this bunghole thinking? Look, this team has enough strikes against it, we don't need some dumbass calling games who is just out of touch with reality. The WRs this team has chosen to go to battle with just plain stink. Oh yeah, Sanzenwhoeverthehell…

Last night on MNF they showed a stat on teams with the highest winning % since 2005. The Giants and the Bears were basically tied at the top of that list!! the Bears had one more loss than the Giants but the same amount of wins. What the Bears did not have is a damn Super bowl win! take that for what it is worth I guess but Lovie and this crew have been getting the Bears winning seasons.

Remember the big debate about if the Bears should have gone after him in FA? Well since he has yet to play this season and has a torn labrum, this is another dodged bullett.

  10. WTF is the front office thinking? We traded Orton, and 2 First round picks for Cutler. When this trade was made, it was blatantly obvious that Cutler would be our QB of the future. We have Martz and his complicated offense and the father of the Greatest Show on Turf. With that being said, why the hell wouldn't the front office give Cutler and this offense the tools needed to succeed in this league? Why would you continue for 3 years running with a below NFL average receiving core and a below average PeeWee football offensive line? And I say below PeeWee because you can tell an 8 year old to get in the way of the kid wearing a different colored jeresy and, after eati…

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,4160512.column Kreutz's presence will be felt Sunday Former Bears center will affect both sides of ball as Saints captain Mike Mulligan 9:46 p.m. CDT, September 13, 2011 There was always a hint of menace to Olin Kreutz as he dominated the Bears locker room for the past 13 seasons. Bright, funny, valiant, ruthless, dangerous, a thousand words wouldn't be enough to capture the guy's spirit. The stories are legendary, if not always easy to confirm: He once stood up to a member of the 1985 team with a two-word blunt assessment of a harsh criticism from that former player; he let a highly paid defensive end kno…

  15. I never realized how many players are free agents next year. My guess is that we'll see some mid season extensions to go against this years cap. That will leave additional money to make splashes, if needed. I'm not a cap guy, but it makes sense to my limited knowledge. Thoughts?

Great leadership on the part of Peppers. The Bears linebacker missed several days of practice this week after his mother, Lavoyda Lenard, died unexpectedly on …

http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/chi/chicago-bears So according to this, we could see a lot of Meriweather playing against the Saints. Not sure about this just yet. As much as I like him on the team, having him still learning the D and then face off against Brees concerns me a little. And, for what it's worth, I am glad to see Barber is staying out this week. Don't think he will be as needed this week as he will be against GB. I feel that given NO's defense, Forte and Bell will do just fine.

New Orleans Saints wideout Marques Colston suffered a broken collarbone Thursday and will be out 4-6 weeks. With Marques Colston out for an extended period of time. With Colston out for a prolonged period and Lance Moore battling a nagging groin injury, the Saints top two wideouts from 2010 are down. The pressure will be on Devery Henderson and Robert Meachem to pick up the slack in the meantime. Which gives the Bears secondary a great advantage on Sunday.
