Both better than Greene or Shae

So looking thru team stats, I noticed a few things. First, the Bears team is not as bad as I thought. I figured that they were bottom 5 on offense and the defense was bottom 2. So for offensive yardage, the Bears are 24th overall, Passing yards - 20th, Rushing yards - 22nd. Defense is 29th overall, Passing yards - 27th, Rushing yards - 16th. So on offense, I didn't expect the passing yards to be that good, but expected rushing to be much better. I am disgusted after this week more than I have been in a long time. With that said, the INTs are deceiving in my opinion. INT #1: This was a forced throw by Cutler, but he was left with little choice. The play-calling on this set of downs was typical Turner, and absolutely atrocious. Two runs up the middle on first and second lead the Bears to a third and goal, and EVERYONE in the world knew it was going to be a pass. So, why play action at all? The run didn't fool anyone. Why does Kevin Payne consistently get a free pass on this board? He's far from our biggest problem, but I don't see what everyone else sees in Payne. He is a huge liability in pass coverage, and having him and Brown both out there is hurting our pass D big time, IMO. Payne does play with a lot of heart and emotion though, and he is very solid in the run game. But we need some sort of rotation of safeties so we don't have to have two liabilities in pass coverage back there on passing downs. We need to either take out Brown or Payne and put someone with coverage skills in, but Manning sucks in coverage anyway and Steltz isn't much better, IMO. I think safety is a …

The new name some bears fans want is Dexter Lawrence.. He had 1/2 sack last year. The next two years he will get 54 mil at 29 and the reason he wants to be traded is he wants more money. He is a better player than any DT we have but at 6'4" and 330. Ran a 5 05 40. Not sure that fits the new speed scheme.

CNNSI gives the Bears a C. Fox Sports says C-. And Fox News (how is it different?) gives a C+ TBO Sports calls stays in the same shot group with a C. Bleacher Report gave an uncharacteristic A. CBS Sports is the only one that seems to dislike the Jeffery pick, and gives a C. Miami Herald has questions about all the picks, C+ AOL gives an A-, and thinks the additions push the vets. If I were running the show I'd want to do two main things, and one supplementary thing: -Shore up the OL by picking a LT that can start day-one. -Pick long, rangy, athletic defensive players to infuse the team with some burst. *Use late picks on risks with great reward. Here's how I'd do it. 1. Ronnie Stanley, LT, ND (Bookend for a decade) 2. Artie Burns, CB, Miami (Shutdown corner. Perfect fit with great potential.) 3.
