ISSUES: At QB Glennon was paid good to be a average QB, his pertinacity to commit TOs has derailed the original plan to let Tribusky learn on the beach. This seems like a match made in heaven. A team has... 1. A troubled locker room and needs a disciplinarian. 2. Plenty of talent. 3. An aging, veteran QB. 4. A bad defense that needs to be turned around by a defensive mind. 5. A new GM looking for a head coach. It would not shock me in the least if Fox gets fired, and immediately gets thrown into the mix as the #1 name for the Giants.

It was interesting to hear his post game comments. What I noticed mostly was he seems to have very little ego. He basically said "We made better play calls in the second half on O but even then it was up to Cutler to use his legs twice to get the job done." It's refreshing to hear something like that. I recall previous regimes falling over themselves to claim credit for plays that went well. In the long run it'll be interesting to see how well his personality fits into this world of huge dollars and huge egos called the NFL. Today on my facebook I've had an article talking about 5th round draft pick Johnny Knox and one about 6th round Patrick Mannelly. The point of what was posted was their rounds. I love them both as Bears, but they are both exceptions to the rule. I know the Bears have a lot of lower picks, but I mean really.... Are they going for a we got rid of of the Black Unicorn but you may get one of these guys kind of thing?

This all starts with our new coaching staff. They all look like studs and we will have to see how that translates to the football field but the arrow is pointing up. Everything we did is contingent on Trubisky being good, the signs say he could be real good. At least we upgraded the talent around him. QB-we appear to have more competent backups this year with Daniels and Bray ( we will find out if MT goes down) RB-Howard , Cohen, Cunningham, Mizzell, Nall Howard will excel in this offense and Cohen will be a star because Nagy will use him properly. Here we go: 1. If Fields makes it to #4, the Bears move up to get him in a package that includes Miller (with the news of ATL wanting to move Julio) and obviously a bunch of picks. 2. If the Bears can't move up, Pace will trade down and take Mond in the late first. 3. A QB will be drafted for the first time since Trubisky. 4. Pace will trade up at least once in the draft. 5. Pace will draft at least one D2 player. 6. Pace will have conviction on all his picks. 7. Pace will mention the amount of collaboration the team had on all their picks. 8. At least 2x UDFA's will make the roster.

I would probably pass on this point, however, a change of scenery could absolutely do RG III a lot of good, imo.

Been talking with friends lately about what I think is a very confusing approach to QB evaluation by NFL scouts. Much emphasis is placed on taking snaps under center and playing in a pro-style offense. Then these prospect get to the NFL and are running read option up tempo shotgun formation offensive plays, which are staples in college offenses as well as multiple WRs and 1 back or empty backfield formations. So what's the big deal about QB prospects being under center? The majority of the center prospects have been making that long snap most of their college careers, so they too should be under the same scrutiny since they haven't had a QB's hands under their butt. …
