profootballtalk.com is reporting that the Bears will open the season at Lambeau in the Sunday night game. Sweet. Bears in primetime week 1!

According to yahoo sports, it looks like JA has been secretly pursuing Cutler. He just doesn't try to advertise this as some other GM's/clubs like to do. I just think it's way too much for me to absorb in one day. It's ridiculous to think that the Bears could feasibly have one franchise QB for the next 8-10 years. Cutler AND Pace?! Wow. Crazy.

Watching ESPN is killing me because all they have it seems is Dilnut, who over and over again says Denver is coming out of this way ahead. What do you expect though from an average QB who feels having a top tier QB isn't that big of a deal. Switched over to NFL Network, and they "get it". Their focus is on how starved Chicago is for a legit QB. They know the importance of a QB. While they realize Chicago gave up a lot, they also are talking about how the Bears still have their 2nd and a 3rd (which I have yet to hear ESPN even mention). I think lost in all this is Matt Forte. He now has a real QB. Look I like Kyle and I wish him all the best in Denver. But Cutler's ypa is almost 8 while Orton's was almost 6. I know Cutler here won't have the weapons but Orton also won't go there and have a Matt Forte. Anyways, I think this opens it up even more for Forte. He now probably won't get as many touches through the air which should give him a rest a bit but a playaction will open it up big time for Cutler, and a draw will open it up big time for Forte. I just wanted everyone's thoughts on this.

Louis Delmas Would look great in a Bears Jersey, especially since we have a more experienced Aaron Rodgers, Percy Harvin, Pettigout and Stafford to contend with next year.

Smiley's shoulder is shot. The Dolphins know it. The San Francisco 49ers knew it when Smiley signed with Miami as an unrestricted free agent in 2008. Smiley missed the final eight games of the season with the shoulder that required surgery in 2007. He injured the shoulder again in 2009 and missed one game and was a backup in three others because of that injury. The 2007 surgery apparently didn't go very well. Smiley, according to two sources, has lost strength in the shoulder over the past two years. Thought you guys might find this interesting. I was working an Arena League game the other night and ran into Paul Edinger. Remember him? Paul Edinger Remember his twisting, whirling kicking style?
