I'm not a huge Hanie backer or anything either but DAMN!!! At least Hanie has a little life in him. Collins was DONE years ago.

  6. I've been watching, anybody else? Walter should be #1. Misssed one game, hardley ever ran out of bounse, kept in on third and long because he could run, pass, block, catch, not like some rb that could only run. He could punt, return kickoffs, played in 2 shorten seasons (could of had more yards). Was the clasiest player on and off the field. Saved thousands of peoples lives by his death(thousands became organ donars because of what he went thru) What else? He was already voted best #34 in nfl history.

I wished we had a different coach, but Lovie is right. Thru 1/4 of the season we are 3-1 and that's great. If we beat Carolina (I believe a 50/50 chance) we will have the best record in the NFC or tied and if KC looses at Colts and we win, we will have the best record in the nfl or tied. so lets forget about the last loss and look foward to Carolina. I believe our defense is playing pretty good, especially in the red zone. When we are on defense I like 3rd and short more than 3rd and long for some reason. I do not like Cutler as much as others but i root for him. When things go wrong he puts his head down like it's never his fault(I'm talking about his year and a quarter …

Looking at this list there really isnt much out there. Some of the names were touted early on, but have yet to pan out. Maybe some kid off the street would be better. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/349453-...top-fives-guard

This guy understands it. Call it placation if you wish, but I think this is an honest understanding that he put too much on them, and it nearly derailed the entire season. Martz takes the blame

  13. Started by jason,

Honestly. No mini-Ditka talk. Do the Bears even get close to 20 points? If the Bears manage ten offensive points in total, I'll be surprised. It's up to the D and the ST to get this win, because I don't see Collins producing it.

(AP)—Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler(notes) will sit out this week’s game at Carolina because of a concussion. Bears spokesman Scott Hagel says Cutler was examined by both team and independent doctors on Wednesday after practicing on a limited basis. Hagel says the doctors “all agreed that participation in practice” went well but felt that sitting out “was the right way to go.” He says Cutler will practice on Thursday and Friday, and his status will be re-evaluated early next…

  16. If Cutler had hit Hester on that wide open fly route. Instead of leading him and scoring a TD the ball was under thrown and batted down. It was a 3 point game at that point. Hitting a deep ball like that could have changed the game. Also i remeber the Bears running a TE screen, why did they not run some RB screens???

The Bears are tied for best record in the NFC and a half a game back over all. Yet, it feels like they are the 0-16 detriot lions from a couple years back, exceot feeling like next year will be the same coaches and front office. It just don't feel like leading the league and makes me sick looking forward to next year.

I have a feeling this week will say a lot. I figure it to be redemption or bust. Of course, much of how this will be perceived will be based on whether Cutler plays or not. Assuming he does play...this game could be prohpetic. Here's my twisted logic on some scenarios... 1. We lose. If we lose, I think we're done for. It's the kind of loss that can send medicore teams snow-balling. (us last year, the Niners this year) The Panthers on paper are total garbage. We should win, and win big. The O line should improve, or at least block 1 out of 10 rushes unlike last weekend. Martz and staff must adjust and make things happen faster...and run the damn …

Anderson was the Bears' fifth-round draft pick in 2006. In his rookie season he had 12 sacks but he never approached that level of play again for the Bears.
