  1. The criteria for this topic, is based on Watersfootball.com current mock draft. The 10 players I would most like to be Bears based on who is there with our first 3 rounds with only three picks. Our extra pick from the lost player thing I will be figuring to be a 4th round pick. I think there is alot of smart football people on this blog and a few dreamers. So the smart ones let me know your list so we can compare. I dont necessarily believe this mock is accurate just a basis for this topic. Macklin/WR Maualuga/LB Ayers/DE Britton/OT Nicks/WR Robiskie/WR Loadholt/OT Bryd/S Sidbury/DE Follett/LB

Man, am I done with Floyd, Lynch, and Prince. Those three need to be gone next year. They are huge holes in our defense. Floyd can't do anything across Khalil Mack, which is borderline criminal for a top 10 pick. He has 3 sacks, 3 TFL, and 0 PD. He only had 4 sacks last year and only 4.5 two years ago. So in his last 38 games, Floyd has 11.5 sacks. That is not enough for the money he is expected to get, even on the 5th year option. He is not worth that much money. Lynch is a lazy and undisciplined player. He was late on the field for a play and just stood there, and had another penalty, and now has 5 on the season. For a situational player, you can't have that many p…

This is a boring time of the year so I was looking at the roster and seen some names that could come out and surprise us. Johnathan Banks/CB he was a second round pick, and was very productive his first two seasons in the NFL. 7 interceptions and 15 PBUs. He is 6-2 185, has decent speed and quickness to the ball. Has 34" arms, and was compaed to Aqib Tileb coming out.He seemed to got lost when their was a regime change in Tampa and then after being traded to the Lions got lost in transition. At 27 he is in his prime time of playing, he fits the scheme and probably feels he needs to prove something for being bounced around. I suspect a productive player …

Remember when we signed Phillip Daniels, and he got something like $8m SB, and that was considered top tier money at the time? Today, that is a tad more than we have given an OL who has started one game in the last 4 years, w/ two different teams. In the last few days, I have been discussing FA w/ some friends, and in those discussions, I came to realize something. We all had been shocked in the last couple years at the deals FAs have been signing. The idea of giving X of dollars to some average player was simply shocking. To me, the money given to average/just above average players has been even more shocking than money given to big ticket players, who have alwa…

I been hearing this crap from some posters that feel our scheme does not fit the players taken. Well let me be the first to inform you all. We have no idea what the scheme is!!! Tice in for Martz means quicker throws different line calls and audibles. Big difference from Martz. We also dont know what Marinelli has in store for the D. With no OTA's last year it put a crimp in what anyone could do. With Martz gone it makes for a real different offense on the field. So your criticisms are a moot point, You have no idea what our scheme is going to be anymore then I do.

Owners Reports that the owners have put enough money away to sustain them in the event the entire season is lost. Players State that it's obvious the owners were planning on locking out the players regardless. Mildly ironic that the players are judging the owners for the same thing the NFLPA advised the players to do during the season. Owners Reports that the players didn't even look at the final offer before decertification. Leading owners to believe decertification was in the plans all along. Players Drew Brees, "I think it was all a show, with no real intent to get a deal done, other than just to say they made a proposal that was no different t…

Starting with the defense. we need to re-sign roach LB and Adams DT, then sign Lawson OLB and C. Jenkins DT and maybe Marshall at CB. On offense I would be trying to get either C. Nicks G from the Saints or one of the two guards from the Falcons...they cant keep both hopefully...since we are cutting useless # 86 at TE we have got one already now we need a big WR like Williams, Moss, Burress, or Floyd. I have looked at the list of undrafted players we signed and there maybe some talent that we can use. We got three WR'S two centers, 5 DB/S types and a few OL and DL players so we can be sitting pretty with adding a few players at some positions.

  12. See article below. I got spammed for comparing Anthony Miller to a young Antonio Brown, but it's surprising more people have not seen the similarities. In a way, Miller is already ahead of Brown. Brown took 3 years to get to 7 TDs, Miller did it in his rookie year with a bum shoulder. Brown was not WR1 until his 4th season, so Miller still has time to get there. Robinson, Miller, and Wims are all 25 and under. That would be a great trio to ride on for the next decade. Compare Brown/Miller in their last two years of college football: Miller 191-2896 yds, 15.2 YPC, 32 TDs Brown 203-2196 yds, 10.8 AVG, 16 TDs Basically the same receptions with Miller ha…

My best case scenario for the offseason would be this. Mike McCoy signs on as our assistant HC Jeffery resigns as a team favorable contract we sign as FAs Kewaan Short- playmaker at 5t Trumaine Johnson/CB Eric Barry/FS we have the money to spend might as well go after the best In the draft: we trade our first round pick to Cleveland who then selects a QB and we get #12/2nd round pick/3rd round pick with the 12th pick we take Tim Williams/edge rusher next to Garrett the best edge rusher in the draft 2) we trade our 2nd round and our 4th round for Jimmy G (we get our QB prospect with NFL experience and less risk th…

The first order of business for the new coaching staff is to evaluate their own players and resign their free agents that they will want to keep or cut players under contract. Bates, because of injury, may not be kept. They know more about his problem and whether he is healed. If healthy he can be a competent backup or even starting center at which they brought him in for. 4 mil would be saved. Gerald Everett never had a role on this team but has a history of a contributing player. Kmet didn't get targets so obviously Gerald didn't either. We will have to see how the new coaches evaluate him. 5 mil would be saved if cut. Tyler Scott never showed up but can …

The only history we have to look at is Paces moves last year and what he is saying about this years FAgency Last year he signed 15 free agents. McPhee got 5 year 39 mil. ( the only large money deal) I think he does the same situation this year. One big money guy and several 3 year 15 mil. type deals. I think he grabs Trevathan for like 5 year 40 mil deal. I think he grabs Jeff Allen for 4 year 20 mil. I think he grabs David Burton/SS/Den ( he played under Fox and has played well in a backup role, a ascending player) I think we resign Jenkins as a rotational DE player. I think we sign Robert Ayers/DE ( he played under Fox and can be g…

Report: Bears-Vikings heading outdoors Posted by Mike Florio on December 14, 2010, 8:25 PM EST Though Bud Grant may not be coming out of retirement, tolerating the bone-chilling cold like an animal who has white hair not just on his head but all over his body, the Vikings will play a home game outdoors for the first time since December 20, 1981. (They lost to the Chiefs that day, 10-6, at the old Metropolitan Stadium.) Cory Roufs of 1500ESPN.com reports that the Vikings are moving forward with plans to host the Bears at TCF Bank Stadium, the home of the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. Per Roufs, the roof at the Metrodome can’t be repaired by Monday,…
