So when you look at Fields career stats, they look terrible, historically bad from a passing perspective for a QB that has played in as many games as he has in his first two years. However, he had a 10-game stretch last season (decent sample size) which I think is his floor going into this year. That stretch was Week 4 to Week 14 last year, 10 games in a row that he played in. I got a subscription to "The Athletic" website. IMO, it is fantastic. Great articles on the Bears, but also any team for NFL, NHL, or MLB. Semi-serious question. Does Jaylon Johnson have thumbs? His hands are atrocious. He will never be top tier if he can’t catch garden variety interceptions that should be game-changing pick 6 plays.

I listen to the Score everyday during football season ,lots of football talk. Steve Rosenbloom repeated a great idea. Cant stand Rosenbloom or Bernstien , they both are arrogant, think there always right and negative Nellys. Trade Fields for Tomlin. (see Clab Williams thread). Its been suggested the owner wants a fresh start in Pittsburgh with a new coach. Tomlin has a great winning record but hasnt won a playoff gme since 2017. Tomlin is a coach Bears fans would love. Who knows if there is any legs to that rumor but its nice to think about.

Man what a collapse in the second half. Detroit absolutely blew it against SF. I was rooting for the Lions as I know their fan base has suffered a lot, even more than we have. I know they picked the Bears last year because of Caleb's rookie year, but this year would've been so much better to see Johnson at work with his new staff and the revamped roster.
