Bears head coach Matt Nagy updated the progress of third-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky on Wednesday, noting that, "Mitch is in and out of the huddle, he sees the defense, and from the time we've been out here it's exciting. OK, I know that is coach speak but it just seems funny. I would be really scared if he could not get in or out of the huddle and did not see the defense. Does someone point him in the right direction when he can't get in or out of the huddle or see the D? It's that way Mitch.

I think we are set up to go to the SB this year. With the upgrade of talent in starters and backups , we can handle a few injuries but not MT. Defense: With the addition of HaHa and Skrine we have 2 capable players. I think HaHa takes a step forward and has several quality plays that Amos didnt have. Skrine lacks some of Callahan's talent but is 16 games of a a 5 better than 12 games of a 6 (value). Nichols, Smith, Floyd are all taking a step forward, with only Prince the potential of regressing because of his age? (maybe not) I think Tolliver, Shelley, Bush all add depth. It's been one preseason game and one training camp in the books, and Emanuel Hall already ejected. I see two players on the bubble that, barring injury I don't think they make the 53. Kwiatkoski looked slow while Kevin Pierre-Louis looked good. Maybe he was out of position on occasion but he stayed with plays and showed more ability to recover than Kwit. I think he makes the roster and we go with Smith, Trevathan, Iggy, and KPL. Braunecker. We had some debate about this over the offseason. I felt at the time since we were seeing Mizzell take snaps away from Cohen even in the playoff game that coaches felt he was maxed out. Looks like they want to pare things down even more from what he did last year. This might explain why we went after Patterson which I don't think anyone was expecting. For all intents and purposes training came and preseason are over. Other than setting a few of the last of the 53 man roster we know who is going to be on this team. As a fan I would like to know what you all expect. Best case and worst case. Baring any injuries to the starting 25 or so. If Mack goes down, or Mitch all bets are off. A receiver or running back gets lost all bets are off. But if this team can keep it's core in tack what are yo'ur realistic expectations for this season. What would be successful season or a failure. Watching Sundays games is not helping. Young QBs having career games, WRs throwing up 150+, RBs scoring and hitting the century mark. To make it even worse, we only scored 3 freaking points...3. The news is that we are trying to get one of them. Both have a big price tag and both would cost a draft pick. I would be good with either—but not at that cost. I really have no preference. I gotta admit that I was hoping for Marcus Marriota. But it looks like he’s signing with the Raiders.

Hard to believe we're getting close. Interested where people are at with this draft, so figured I would shoot out some questions: 1. Player(s) you'd love to see the Bears land. 2. Players(s) you do not want to see the Bears draft. 3. Player you are most wary/nervous of the Bears drafting. 4. Should the Bears draft a QB? If so, when? 5. Player you don't want to see drafted by another NFC North team. 6. Player you irrationally love. 7. Early round bust. 8. Late round steal. 9. Player who will go at least two rounds later than everyone thinks. 10. Player who will go at least two rounds earlier than everyone thinks.

Based on a few of the other depth guys we picked up, we are going to have a killer Special Teams unit.
