The news is that we are trying to get one of them. Both have a big price tag and both would cost a draft pick. I would be good with either—but not at that cost. I really have no preference. I gotta admit that I was hoping for Marcus Marriota. But it looks like he’s signing with the Raiders.

Hard to believe we're getting close. Interested where people are at with this draft, so figured I would shoot out some questions: 1. Player(s) you'd love to see the Bears land. 2. Players(s) you do not want to see the Bears draft. 3. Player you are most wary/nervous of the Bears drafting. 4. Should the Bears draft a QB? If so, when? 5. Player you don't want to see drafted by another NFC North team. 6. Player you irrationally love. 7. Early round bust. 8. Late round steal. 9. Player who will go at least two rounds later than everyone thinks. 10. Player who will go at least two rounds earlier than everyone thinks.

Based on a few of the other depth guys we picked up, we are going to have a killer Special Teams unit.

So thru 3 rounds, this is what we are looking at: DET - Decent draft but missed opportunity to take Tua and/or trade Stafford, or trade down 1. Okudah, CB - basically replaces Slay, good for salary cap, but team really doesn't improve much. Highest DB ever selected, passed on Tua 2. Swift, RB - they already have KJ, so at most RBBC, they must be concerned about KJ's health. Good value pick 3. Everyone has heard opinions on our upcoming quarterback battle. While all opinions are valid, some resonate better than others. I'll make it brief and state that I believe Mitch is the best case scenario. Foles had never started a season for a team and had a winning record. Everywhere he goes, he gets replaced. Why is that? Here is the current list of players (26 so far) opting out of the 2020 NFL Season due to COVID. Goldman is currently the only Bear, and is the 4th highest rated player in the league to opt-out so far (according to PFF grades). I assume this list will triple by the time the deadline hits sometime next week. For the Bears, my guess is Leno and Miller will follow suit as both have recently had children. Miller has at least been shown working out with Trubisky, so he has a chance, but Leno seems like the type of guy that would take this option and run with it. 3-0 baby! And the defense doesn't have a damn thing to do with it. Our offense has done the work as our defense totally underwhelmed me. Through this start, the offense is leading their opponents in yards, points, 3rd down conversion % and time of possession. The defender was supposed to be a strength, but is has not shown yet. This is a great example of the difference between Foles and Trubisky. Foles does this all game long. Trubisky has to get the call from the sidelines, then just executes it to the first read regardless of coverage. So he does make some amazing throws like the ones to Miller but then also throws into triple coverage to ARob. Foles adjusted this play, the receiver, the rub, and the protections all while the defense shifted. Very cool to see a play broken down to this level. So now Foles needs to work on the timing of routes with his receivers. I'm going to get straight to it. This team lacks discipline. It is a direct sign that the head coach needs to simplify things 1) The Chicago Bears lead the league in penalties and yards of penalties. Smart teams that know they need every break they can get buckle down on these mental lapses. It shows that it's not being drilled in. 2) Can not run the football.
