With the Chargers in serious need of outside LB help, and the Bears in serious lack of pass rush ability from McClellin I'm curious how many here would consider trading SMC to the Chargers if they inquired? And if so what would you want in return? The Chargers have Melvin Ingram and Freeney out. Freeney is a stop gap on their roster so they could view SMC as a long term solution for them opposite Ingram. For our part the Bears are already getting Washington reps which IMO indicates they know they aren't getting enough out of SMC so they are hoping they can speed up Washington's development. I'm thinking of signing up for NFL Field Pass so I can listen to the Bears broadcast call rather than the idiots that normally call the games. I do have a program that can record audio from an application so the thought came to mind to record the games and replace the audio with the Bears announcers. Would make for a cool option on a DVD to select either the original broadcast audio or the Bears call. I can usually get the broadcast on the radio but the signal comes and goes. Has anyone here had it in the past, has it this year and has an opinion on whether it's worth it or not?

I dont know if it is too soon to look at how far this team came but that is what im going to do! They were picked to finish 3rd in the NFC North. Made it to the NFC Championship game and really made it it a game with our 3rd string QB(really should be 2nd string). I went to every home game this year other then the first Seatle game and have a ton of great memories from this season. If i had to pick my favorite memory from this season it would prolly be Hester breaking the record! I love watching him return punts and kickoffs!!!! So if any of you are up to it lets make a list of the best of favorite memories form this past season!

This young man is really trying his luck. evidently he is okay after losing control of what was described as a vintage auto and he had 2 others in the car and both are also okay. I guess he is originally from Portland as he played prep football there.The report stated that he was not impaired and that he was cooperative with the police.

MItch is a heck of a teammate. He's a really good dude and it's easy to root for him. He's also better than 99% of the people that play QB in the world. However, he's not better than the vast majority NFL starting QBs. I wish it would have worked out for him but it didn't. Where he was drafted was not his fault. I wish him all the best going forward. Drafting QBs is a crapshoot. The year Cade McNown was drafted, there were 5 QBs taken in the first 12 picks (Tim Couch, Akili Smith, Donovan McNabb, Dante Culpepper and McNown). What if Pace and Nagy were to trade x=y=z players this off season. Get another four or five draft picks and try and have a draft like the Bears had in the early 80's. Start building a new foundation for a generation. Why would that mean they have to win now or be gone. Set a true foundation of picks to build on and insure them a decade of control? Why does it have to be win now or gone. Change the whole thought process.

IMHO is the Bears are to win this game two things must happen. One is the the defense MUST rush and get pressure up the middle of the Oline. They will have three new starters in including the new center. This will force Manning to roll out of the pocket into the arms of O-gun,Brown and the fleet foot Anderson. Make him use the bum knee he has. You have go to send a blitz at him when he's in the shotgun. Line up in the cover two and play man to man, with Tillman on Harrison and Vasher on Wayne. Former Bears player Terry Obee from the `93 team attended our church today. He's the new WR coach at Western Kentucky University which is in the city I live. The name sounded familiar but I didn't really remember him until we got to talking and I told him I was a Bears fan. He was at Stanford last year with Harbaugh his former QB. He came to WKU with Willie Taggert when he got the head coaching job here. Always nice to meet a former Bear.

I have no idea why he was kept on the staff, but when every Offensive Lineman that leaves improves, there is only one common denominator. I wish this was satire, but somehow guys like Lucas Patrick (who was the worst OL player in the NFL last year magically becomes the best OG in the NFL in one offseason?).
