There were a few wondering why Urlacher could not play with a cast, like we have seen some other players do with certain injuries. I found the article linked below very informative and was definitely worth reading. Urlacher Praises Bears' Medical Team

Gritty win today gents but gotta like that we didn't fold we kept fighting. Knox what more can you say that hasn't been said Thank you Denver. Great hands and speed. We need our WR's to step up. You can guarantee that Knox will generate more attention now which should help the other WR. Exciting things happen when he touches the ball with him and Hester on the field at the same time that's a lot of speed to account for. K Davis stepped up today as well we need solid targets for Jay in the red zone. Gregg Olsen had a bit better game making the huge catch late and covered Forte's fumble. Darn near came up with a big catch but got his bell rung. …

I'm sitting in the Vegas airport, waiting for my flight to LA to catch the game... And I'm hungover from a bachelor party last night desperate for food. And there is a kiosk with pizzeria UNO from Chicago! I'm more of a fan of the thin, but right now it's nirvana! Bears!

So far the Lions have kept themselves in the game. It would be funny if Detroit pulls out a win against the Vikings. But then again the Browns held them close for about as long and then collapsed.

I heard that D Manning will start at FS D Manning will move to Nickle in that situation with KP relieving him in the nickle package Omiyale will start at LOG but Beekman will be in the wings if he has trouble Clark is definately out (I want to see K Davis get a shot!) D Manning may not return KOs do to the added duty at FS Good chance we will see Johnny Knox return KOs.

I usually don't make predictions, unless it's for the office pool but... IMO the Bears win today. Preseason I told friends that we'd start 0-2. In all honesty thought it would be huge if we could start 2-2. We match up well against Pittsburgh for starters and also think we'll have more of a sense of purpose / urgency. Bears 24-20

IMHO and i have said this ever since we have gotten Ron Turner that we lose because of the plays he call or doesn't call. Prime example we are in the RED ZONE three times and you never used OLSEN ..not one time on a mismatch. Better yet why not the 6'7 DAVIS. The run up the middle never got much so why not use the play action pass to Forte/McKie in the flat. Maybe the bootleg to Olsen instead of Clark.. During the game when the Packer were coming after Cutler...where was the dump off to Forte? And for those of you who say its Cutler and the defense that lost this game.....think about this. The Packers were deep in the red zone once and that was the int run back. Other than…

It's been a tough week listening to the so called experts ( TV, Radio ) pick apart this team, especially the offense. What I see is an offense that is in transition. We had 6 new starters last week, 7 this week on offense. But all they want to do talk about an interview after the game by our QB. (I myself do not know what the big deal was. Is he the new Vick, Owens and Burrass the NFL badboy ! That is BS ! IF Lovie has friends like that I hate to see his enemies.) It may get worse before it gets better ! I don't when everything will click in but when it does we will be pleased. We may see some games where we could score tons of points and then close to none…

There has been a ton of critical talk from this past game, understandably, but there were a couple players who I think could warrant some positive comments. Daniel Manning - I have ripped him up and down for some time, but he has really showed development. We saw his contributions last year as a returner and nickel. In camp, we hear he will be our starting FS, and there was a collective moan. Now I wonder though. There was a particular play that really stood out to me. I don't want to make too much from one play, but at the same time, it was the sort that gives me hope. I believe DM was playing FS, but he may have been the nickel. As much as we mix it up, its …

Most of you know that I deliver the Chicago Tribune and while I was delivering it I saw a little headline that said Bowman to get the nod, but I didn't have time to read it so I came home and found the article. Many of us were hoping it would happen and I think this is the coaching staff saying that they aren't afraid to make changes like we thought in the past. Kudos to Lovie Smith. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,1143111.story

I heard on the radio today, and may have also read, that our staff discussed the communication breakdown between Cutler and the receivers. What the staff the problem was, was when Cutler would scramble, there was a breakdown in what receivers were expected to do. Lovie didn't call the receivers out, but his comments definitely pointed at the WRs, and implied they did not act appropriately when Cutler was on the run, which was nearly every down. Lovie said they would be drilling a lot regarding what "rules" are in place when the QB is on the run. While many will say this should have already been prepared for, and I agree, at the same time I don't think anyone expec…

Bears wideouts produced biggest day since '04 Posted: 9/17/2009 2:57 p.m. Jay Cutler has been widely criticized following the first four-interception game of his NFL career Sunday night in Green Bay. But the Bears quarterback helped his young wide receivers post big numbers in the loss to the Packers. Earl Bennett (7 receptions for 66 yards), Devin Hester (4-90) and Johnny Knox (2-82) combined for 238 yards, the most by Bears wide receivers in a game since Nov. 24, 2002 when Marty Booker (10-157), Dez White (8-106), Ahmad Merritt (3-24) and Marcus Robinson (1-3) generated 290 yards in a 20-17 overtime win over the Lions.
