I’ve been trying to avoid starting a new topic but saw a story on Robert Quinn that got my attention. Turns out he’s had a benign brain tumor most of his life. So it looks like the Falcons may try to move Calvin Ridley. He is going into his 5th year option year, and will have a $11.1M cap hit next year. I believe he is the longest-tenured Bear and made $1.75M last year. The Bears just signed Ryan Winslow who was a UDFA with the Bears in 2018. Could this be the end of Mega Punt? The Bears also signed long snapper Beau Brinkley, which could also spell the end for Patrick Scales ($1.13M). As of today, it looks like there are only a couple of "starting" positions that need to be settled. Looking at the offense, RG seems like the only position where there is not someone locked in at least for now. The WR room still looks like it could use one more veteran to add to the competition with Jones, Newsome, and Moore. The RB room is a strength and the TE room has enough. I've been noticing all the teams coming up with alternate helmets this year. The Bengal's white version, the Jet's black, etc... So it doesn't surprise me that the Bears will use an alternate orange helmet during the season. The Bears will wear the new orange helmets on Oct. 13 against the Washington Commanders and on Oct. 30 at the Dallas Cowboys.
