Not sure if anyone is interested, but annually, I book a hotel in the Super Bowl city, and if (when) the Bears don't make it, I cancel 24 hours prior to and it doesn't cost me a thing. Of course, the only year I didn't was in 2006 when they did actually go. Anyhow, I found a La Quinta Suites in Slidell, (where ironically, Forte is from) which is about 25 miles from New Orleans, for only $119/night. If anyone is interested, I'd go that route. All of the other hotels are either sold out or $390+/night. This hotel also has all good reviews on Trip Advisor with the exception of 1 or 2 people.

Here is the current list of players (26 so far) opting out of the 2020 NFL Season due to COVID. Goldman is currently the only Bear, and is the 4th highest rated player in the league to opt-out so far (according to PFF grades). I assume this list will triple by the time the deadline hits sometime next week. For the Bears, my guess is Leno and Miller will follow suit as both have recently had children. Miller has at least been shown working out with Trubisky, so he has a chance, but Leno seems like the type of guy that would take this option and run with it. In total the ‘23 draft yielded 3 WR in DJ Moore, Chase Claypool, and Tyler Scott. Collectively that’s a pretty good haul for a single draft. I definitely believe Scott was best available when we took him. He hedges things a bit with resigning Mooney and to a lesser extent Claypool. With Scott on board it brought to mind a question about how would a team defend a 5 WR set. I include Velus in this not ESB because he is the better runner. Fields can run of course so we don’t need a RB on the field. You’ve got potential jet sweeps from either side with Scott or VJJ. Potential routes at all levels of the field. What's your opinion on these designs? Apparently the NFL had an artist do a do over on helmets and uniforms going forward.

OK so this is a little thing. But ugh. So Nagy is on a zoom meeting explaining that he will not be on the field during the first practice because of a COVID rule, and that he will be watching on a remote video screen. And he makes a joke, saying he will be watching the offense score all over the defense. I think he was hoping some defensive coaches would rib him back. And he prompts Desai, saying "right?" and Desai agrees with him. Grrr. Now maybe he wasnt really paying attention. Or maybe he is afraid to speak up to the head coach. I like everybody on here but have issues with one. Everybody sees that , I dont really care what he thinks. I dont want to piss everyone else off so after fantasy season , if you guys want me to leave , I'm okay with that. Im not asking anyone to pick a side but if it bothers everybody, I'm not sure there is another way.
