Seems clear we're taking a QB in this draft, we just don't know how early. I'd say 3rd Rd is a possibility and 4th Rd is most likely. I took a look at some film on a few of the prospects that are off the beaten path (i.e. not named Hogan or Prescott): Brandon Allen... I've seen a few people praise him as a solid backup QB candidate with a long career ahead of him. I see good pocket awareness and ability move around to avoid pressure. He's mobile enough to bootleg and can throw well enough on the run. I'd like to see him throw with more anticipation as he usually is waiting for guys to make their break and then be open. He's accurate and arm strength is good en…

If I were running the show I'd want to do two main things, and one supplementary thing: -Shore up the OL by picking a LT that can start day-one. -Pick long, rangy, athletic defensive players to infuse the team with some burst. *Use late picks on risks with great reward. Here's how I'd do it. 1. Ronnie Stanley, LT, ND (Bookend for a decade) 2. Artie Burns, CB, Miami (Shutdown corner. Perfect fit with great potential.) 3. Carl Nassib, DE, PSU (Love his drive, determination, length. Perfect 5T for the Bears.) 4. Dak Prescott, QB, MSU (The more I watch of him, the more underrated I think he is. He has great potential.) 4. Jerell Adams, TE, SC (Big…

Who's planning on going? Saturday was a blast last year. No pressure if you miss a 6th or 7th round pick, well a little, but being there is awesome. Great weather, downtown, nfl buzz. If anyone plans to go and want to meet for a bit, I am in.

With Balt drafting Stanley, I can see Eugene Monroe being traded or cut. He would definitly be an upgrade as the LT and is only 29, would have 3 to 4 years left at a high level. With Hargraeves going to TB and then grabbing Grimes in FA I can see them cutting loose of Alterraun Verner/CB. He played well before he got to TB and he is 27.

Good football player. I don't think he ran well at his Pro Day and that led to him being undrafted but his play speed looks faster than a 4.77, seems like he's running somewhere between 4.6-4.7. Cherry seems to have good instincts and awareness around the LOS but it's only a highlight film so we don't see how he handle blocks. I think he'll challenge Timu and Christian Jones for the last ILB roster spot. He's faster than Timu on film at least, and his lateral movement is better. Christian Jones is the best athlete among these three if only he can learn where to go and when to be there. Keep an eye on special teams during preseason. http://sportspagemagazine…

We got any takers? He is 29 and has had success in the past. He could give us a starter upgrade at LT.

Man, the national media is ridiculous. Over the past few weeks, I have heard multiple media outlets questioning Langford and the Bears rushing attack RBBC. However, I heard today (on Sirius) them talking about how Matt Jones is going to have a breakout year. That got me thinking of the comparisons between the Bears and Redskins, they both lost their veteran RB's and replaced them with younger backs both drafted in 2015. Interestingly enough, Jones was selected 11 picks before Langford. Here is their production from last year: Matt Jones 144-490, 3.4, 3 TD, 19 REC, 304 YDS, 1 TD, 4 FB Jeremy Langford 148-537, 3.6, 6 TD, 22 REC, 279 YDS, 1 TD, 0 FB Actu…

I am really liking what Pace is doing with this team. Some bold moves with the signing of Sitton and cutting of Gould. It is hard to say we are not a markedly better team than we were to end last season. The preseason performance, especially in Game 3 really brought my expectations down, but the latest moves to solidfy the roster have been reassuring.
