Ok, so as long as I'm overblowing little things and reading too much into them, here's a good one about Desai. Jackson compared his style more to "Vic" Fangio than "Chuck" Pagano - seems to indicate that his responsibilities would be more similar to Fangio's defense than last year's. GOOD. If we field and explosive offense, then a gambling defense is a good pairing with that. No need to play it so safe. Maybe that's why the pass rush was kind of sleepy too. And he also said that Desai was being tough with the players. Also great to see. I like to hear this, getting Jackson back to prime form would be huge for this defense.

I was waiting for the last person to pay besides the 2 payments I am responsible for and it looks like the extra $5 dollars most of you paid is just a credit on your account and isnt available to disperse. Should we try to figure out a way to make it where everyone has paid $25 or should we keep it as a credit and just use it towards next year?

I saw this short YouTube video with every one of Dexter's snaps this week and no commentary - and best of all, it's less than 4 minutes long You can easily see that he's only late getting out of his stance on about 15% of his snaps now, and when he's late it's by a much shorter interval. It's clear progress from week one. You can also see that most of the slower starts happened early in the game. He got more comfortable as the day went on, and then as he was in purer pass rush mode, he was right in rhythm with the whole line getting off the ball. And the one time he was late out of his stance in the 2nd half, he ends up two gapping the run for a tackle at the line o…

Jones has a concussion issue. Kiran Amagadje is available, as is Larry Borom. First and foremost, I worry about Caleb. I want him protected. No point in getting him injured now. But I'd be lying if I said I wasnt interested to see Amagadje out there showing what he's got. Hopefully both are possible at once, and Amagadje shows us something. But if it's one or the other, of course I'd lean toward protecting Caleb. And it's not like Borom is any sure thing. If things get ridiculous, I wouldn't be averse to seeing Bagent out there if things get hairy just to make sure Caleb is OK.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3991029 Updated: March 18, 2009, 9:15 AM ET Bears' Orton unfazed by speculation Comment Email Print Share Associated Press LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- On a strange day for football, Kyle Orton was unfazed by speculation, offseason comments or any challenges to his standing as the Chicago Bears' starting quarterback. Kyle Orton Orton As the Bears kicked off a minicamp two months early and the weather on a windy March day soared to 70 degrees, Orton was asked about comments from general manager Jerry Angelo last December that Chicago needed to stabilize the quarterback position. "I haven't talked to Je…

I like the look of the cover, they went with Troy Polamalu & Larry Fitz in the first dual cover we've seen. Nice look to it and the splatter effect on the box looks pretty good. I am going to make my own custom one so the selection of the two doesn't bother me. Thoughts? Credit to AlterEgo of VSN on finding it http://www.virtualsportsnetwork.com/forum/...ead.php?t=17340

Sooner or later this Oline is going to come together. For now we still have individual players doing well in spots: Sitton, Long, and add Whitehair to that list. http://www.windycitygridiron.com/2016/10/1...nfl-draft-class

Will somebody trade up to the Bears for a QB? This is exactly what Phil Emery was hoping for.

Floyd IMO is still ascending. I think with his body type we'll see that for a couple more years as he gains strength. The decision on his 5th year option is due this offseason and with all the things he does well I don't see anyway we can let him go after next season. So we're likely paying him the 5th year option which I believe is worth around $13-15mil. I'd rather see if we can work out a 3 or 4yr extension and since he doesn't have elite sack numbers try to keep him for around $8-10mil/yr. He's a good player but not elite in any category and his injury history mucks up the negotiating waters. If he's here for 4 more years (3 yr extension) he's just 30 when…

Trib seemed to hint that he could be a guy the Bears look at. He was once a heck of a player, not sure what he has left in the tank. Tribune specifically mentioned the Bears will be looking for a lineman and a cornerback as players get cut.
