Trade down and get a lower 1st and a 3rd 1. Larry Warford, G, Kentucky --A guard to pair with Slauson, to go with Schwenke/Garza and Bushrod. Not bad. 2. Darius Slay, CB, Mississippi State --It seems like they want a young CB. Some thing Slay > Banks. 3. Brian Schwenke, C, California --Who doesn't want this guy? 4. Da'Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech --If it weren't for legal issues, he'd be knocking on round 1's door. 5. Sean Porter, OLB, Texas A&M --LB depth. 6. Sean Renfree, QB, Duke --A young QB to develop; a lot of scouts are high on him.

Things are a bit slow as we wait on the draft. I found this article on Favre's last hit and thought some others might like to read it. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/eye-on-f...ded-his-career-

Clearly they know the names so all the GMs know who it was as well. With one guy labeled a "potential" first round pick it has to be someone who is late first round. Since this is the area we will be drafting in I'm wondering who this was. Any ideas? http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/NFP-Su...Blitz-9661.html *NFL teams still were trying to find out about an incident in which a hotel room at the combine was trashed, apparently by two players who were staying there. One of the players is a potential first round draft pick, and the incident could affect both players’ stock. Front office men hoped to speak with one of the players about it at his pro day, bu…

These are not players you will see drafted in the upper part of the draft. As I read more and more about prospects, this is my view on sleepers. Akem Spence/DT from Illinois- he is athletic, 72 tackles as a senior. a mid round pick that will eventually start in the league. Terry Hawthorne/CB from Illinois- good size, good speed 4.44, 60 tackles, 8 PBUs, 3 int.. I think another Illini prospect that will contribute and could start in a year or two. Gerald Hodges/LB from Penn state-The team leader played really well with 109 tackles, 8.5 tackles for a loss, seven passes broken up, one forced fumble and two interceptions in 2012. Decent size and speed. K…

Here is part of a comparison of two names linked to the Bears. Overall Potential Ogletree: The potential is there for Ogletree to not only be one of the best ILBs in the NFL, but overall one of the best LBs in the league. He is one of the most physically gifted athletes I have studied in quite some time. He can fly around the line of scrimmage in pursuit of ball carriers; you can use his speed and quickness to rush the passer either from the middle or outside. In coverage, Ogletree patrols the middle of the field like a ball-hawking FS, showing the ability to make a play on the football. You can match him up with a big, athletic TE and feel comfortable that…

I just read a Bleacher Report article and they had Marshall listed as the 6th best WR in the league, and I think that fits. Although they had Percy Harvin listed as #2, not so sure about that. C. Johnson-1 Harvin-2 Green-3 A. Johnson-4 R.White-5

Some people in my life think I have intuition, which leads me to being called a psychic, or if I misspelled that( psycho.) I think we trade down with Jacksonville and get 33 and 64 with our first rounder. Jacksonville will trade up to grab a QB they covet. 33-Arthur Brown/LB 50-David Amerson/CB 64-Brian Winters/OG 117-Akeem Spence/DT 153-Khail Holmes/)C 188-Jasper Collins/WR

Not a ton of news...Theres a good chance we draft a QB at some point. There are already teams wanting to trade up with us supposedly. They're still looking at Izzy and others to sign to the roster. They supposedly like Garza at OC. He was disappointed with the arrest of ERod.

Here is my mock draft scenario, and based on all mock drafts, none of my picks will be correct, however, it would be nice to address these positions: 1. Bears trade #20 to SF for #31, #74 (Rd3), and #157 (Rd5) so SF can draft Kenny Vaccaro at #20. 2. Bears trade #31 and #188 to Philly for #35 (Rd2) and #101 (Rd4) who were looking to move into the late first. 35 (2) - Arthur Brown, LB 50 (2) - Kyle Long, OT (Original Pick: David Amerson, CB) 74 (3) - Brian Schwenke, OC 101 (4) - Marquise Goodwin, WR 117 (4) - Logan Ryan, CB (Original Pick: Brennan Williams, OT) 153 (5) - Zac Dysert, QB 157 (5) - Bennie Logan, DT

Former 2nd round pick....But PFF gave him a worse rating than Chilo Rachal...Thats bad. Maybe Kromer sees something he can fix.

A good article on draft and trade values: http://www.windycitygridiron.com/2013/4/17...ft-value-charts Just like what many of us have said, the 49ers look like prime candidates for our pick if they want it. They have the picks and the value is good for both teams. One interesting one would be Miami with 42 and 54, would they be willing to do it, and would we be willing to drop 22 slots for #54. We would then have #42, #50, and #54, which actually seems like a really sweet spot in the draft for value vs performance. To me that would almost be like getting 3 new starters, and even possibly 2 OL.

So as of right now this is what our Bears look like on paper. Not bad but we can get better IMHO the players listed in Bold are locks to make the team, the underlined ones are the first to be cut, but the others are a toss up as to who stays and who goes QB Cutler, McCown, Blanchard RB Forte, Bush, Allen, Unga, TE Bennett, Maneri, Rodriguez, Adams, Eldridge, Miller, Onobun WR Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett, Weems, Anderson, Golden, Moss, Toliver, OT Bushrod, Webb, Carimi, Scott,Brandon, OG Slauson, Brown, Williams, Britton, Riley, Dennis, C Garza, Boggs, DE Peppers, McClellin, Wootton, McBride, Ozougwu, Moore, Whi…

Till now I have been on board with drafting defense in the first. But with the additions thus far on the line and on defense I have been thinking: 1st Tavon Austin WR 2nd Best corner available My logic is that a Marshall and Jeffery split out and Austin in the slot with Bennett at tight end would give us a group of receivers that would be hard to stop. There are people on this board that will say that weapons are useless with Cutler on his back. I have to have faith that Kromer with the additions the line will improve. The quick catches I saw Austin make are very similar to the ones dropped by Hester last year. Austin gives us threats at every position …
