There were a few wondering why Urlacher could not play with a cast, like we have seen some other players do with certain injuries. I found the article linked below very informative and was definitely worth reading. Urlacher Praises Bears' Medical Team

Bears can pull the plug on Peppers after one year Posted by Mike Florio on March 8, 2010 11:07 PM ET We mentioned earlier tonight some of the details relating to the Julius Peppers deal. We've picked up some more information about the contract, and it's now clear that if the Bears clean house after the 2010 season, it'll be easier for the new regime to bid Peppers adieu. As Peter King of SI.com pointed out this afternoon, Peppers gets $20 million in 2010 (all but a $100,000 workout bonus is guaranteed). But the $22 million in guaranteed money that he's due to receive in 2011 and 2012 is guaranteed for injury only. This means that the Bears can decide after…

#Bears have hired Stan Drayton as running backs coach; he spent last 4 years at Ohio State, helped Buckeyes win national title in '14. https://twitter.com/ChicagoBears/status/563464062881640448

This is the worst mock I've seen in a long time. 1.Joshua Jackson, CB, Iowa 2.Harold Landry, DE/OLB, Boston College 4.D.J. Moore, WR, Maryland 4.Anthony Miller, WR, Memphis 5.Blace Brown, CB, Troy With the same configuration of picks, the better options are nearly limitless. With little effort, there is this: 1.Orlando Brown, OT, Oklahoma 2.James Washington, WR, Oklahoma State 4.Lorenzo Carter, DE/OLB, Georgia 4.Kevin Toliver, CB, LSU 5.Uchenna Nwosu, DE/OLB, USC Or maybe this, if the Bears are dead set on using their pick on the perceived best CB: 1.Joshua Jackson, CB, Iowa 2.Arden Key, DE/OLB, LSU 4.Martinas Rankin, OT, Mississ…

The Bears reportedly converted $7mil of Charles Leno's salary this year into a signing bonus. That gives us an extra $5.3mil in cap space this year. We will have to wait and see what Pace does with this. The Whitehair extension has been rumored all offseason but we could have done that without this extra cap space. https://twitter.com/FieldYates/status/1164179053223567364

Yeah, she's hot, but she's an idiot. http://www.salon.com/2014/03/17/mtv_star_k...dium=socialflow This is probably not the right forum (?) but it's something that potentially affects Cutler vis a vis his emotional well-being after his child is not protected from potentially lethal diseases. Even more surprising considering Jay's diabetes.

oh, that's right. it ended 2 weeks ago. this entire game was just one stupid situation after the next. the entire team including the coaches looked like they just met for the first time before playing their first pre-season game tonight. someone asked in another post what we were going to do with our extra $15 mil? i'm for buying mike shannahan to start out as our offensive coordinator. then buy a freaking cornerback who can play bump and run defense, an offensive guard or two and if any is left over buy lovie a clue. hmmmm should i make a stupid situation worse than it is lovie? HELL YESS!!! throw a flag without even talking to the replay people in yo…

With all the shit going down in NOs, would it be interesting if they let Brees go, and signed P. Manning as there new QB. That would be a big distraction to the pending issues that will go down in the south.

Sooner or later this Oline is going to come together. For now we still have individual players doing well in spots: Sitton, Long, and add Whitehair to that list. http://www.windycitygridiron.com/2016/10/1...nfl-draft-class

Megapunt for another year. Hopefully not for too much, I am sure they wanted some continuity in their kicking game.

GB - I'll take a nice sloppy game tonight. Both the bears and Pukers are about equal in terms of rushing offnese, but there is a huge difference in rush defense. We are the 7th ranked run D, allowing less than 100 yard per game and only 3.5 ypc average. GB meanwhile is the 27th run defense, allowing nearly 140 yards per game, and 4.7 ypc average. They have us in the passing game, both in offense and defense, but if the weather is as cold and bad as it looks, it will making passing much harder. Houston - I am really hoping for pooring down rain. I didn't realize this, but my dad (who lives in Houston) told me their roof is still not fixed, from the hurric…

You could breed them together (fill in who you want to be the girl here) and get a QB that is good at the deep ball as well as the short routes.. Season is about over and is pretty obvious that Orton is another Shane Mathews..

Saw this on twitter: Trade Bagent and Braxton to the Saints for Banks Jr LOL and while we are at it - we should trade DJ for Fields to fill the hole at QB2. LOL

So I guess DJ Chark visited the Bears, and there is some interest in signing him. Chark is over 30, and he has had great seasons and not so great ones. One big advantage is that he has played in Ben Johnson's system before. I dont expect anything fast or soon, but it makes me wonder if DJ Moore might be in trouble int he next couple of years. It's interesting that the three players who mouthed off this year have all been addressed with depth. Cole Kmet and then Coltson Loveland DJ Moore and then Luther Burden, and possible Chark as a stop gap measure while Burden (who is a lot like Moore) comes up to speed Jaylon Johnson sitting out right now…
