George McCaskey met with the the media and explains why he signed off on the deal after first saying no and then McDonald on his own flew in to meet with him and convinced George of his sincerity and he says that there are only 3 players that he as chairman got involved in the personnel matter and that is B Marsh, Sam Hurd and Ray McDonald.

I don’t get to watch many games lately. But I got to see Red zone highlights. What struck me was that every single time Fields drops back he is being chased. Every snap someone is busting through relatively cleanly. One play it’s from the left. Next play it’s up the gut. Then the right. Then the channel flips to KC, and Mahomes has time to tie his shoes on every other play. Until the QB gets time CONSISTENTLY, he can never be properly evaluated, and can never truly progress. Keep Fields. Trade the #1. Draft OL.

So I was curious about how many true hits and misses Pace has had over the last 6 years. Everyone talks about Trubisky, Shaheen (whiffs) or Jackson, Amos (hits), but what about all the others. Bullard and Grasu in the 3rd? Jordan Morgan? Langford and Ridley in the 4th? So I gave a value for each round (1st = 7 to 7th = 1), then either gave Pace credit for the hit (positive value), or negative for a miss. A player needs to play at least 50% of the snaps to be a hit. Using that basic criteria, Pace is a -2 overall, meaning an autodraft or monkey could've done better. I’m loving everything we’ve done in adding offensive weapons to help out Trubisky. The one thing I can’t understand was letting go of Josh Sitton. I got it at the time assuming that we would sign someone young and more athletic. Since then all we’ve done is resign Bradley Sowell—who is a back-up swing tackle. It also looks like Quenton Nelson will be long gone by the time we pick at #8. Dumping Sitton, we now have a gaping hole at o-line. At best, Bobbie Massie and Charles Leno are average.
