So, the draft is over. We know where everyone was selected. Without imaginary trades, what do you wish the Bears would have done with the players available when they picked? 1st - Gabe Carimi, OL, Wisconsin 2nd - Stephen Paea, DT, Oregon State 3rd - Clint Boling, OL, UGA 5th - Quan Sturdivant, LB, UNC 6th - Greg McElroy, QB, Alabama

Overall, I thought it was a pretty good draft, looking at the individual players we got. At the same time, I can not help but feel this draft will go down as the draft that could have been. I feel we missed the bus on some players, and while there are later picks I like individually, I question the selections due to who we passed on. 1st - I like Williams. I like him a lot. At the same time, I can not help but feel Albert will be a far better player. Williams may indeed be the better, immediate, prospect, but down the road, I think we look back and wonder why we didn't take Albert 2nd - Forte - I like Forte. I think most do as well. This fills a need, and…

Within the realm of reality, what is your dream offseason? I think I'd like to see the following: FA Faneca, Starks, Flozelle, or Gross Draft RD1: OL (depending on FA targets/probabilities) RD2: OL (depending on FA targets/probabilities) RD3: QB (Brennan, Dixon, or Flacco (in that order)) RD4: S (Targeted BPA) Team Turner = FIRED Mike Brown, Tommie Harris, Dusty Dvoracek, Dan Bazuin = Healthy MuhMuh = Demoted Olsen = Promoted QB Position = Open TC Battle

What is Poles was asking for the Sun and the Moon in trade for JF (cuz his boss is meddling) and he doesn't want to select CW but wants to fleece Washington then fleece NE so that he would be forced to keep JF? JF, and D, Line, and some weapons.?‍♂️ 5-D Chess

Check out this article link: Will James be back in 2008? Pure speculation, but if for cap reasons the Cards let James go, would the Bears be a contender for his services? Personally, I think the Cards will find a way to keep him, but he sure would look nice as our starter!!

We were called out on national tv yet again. THis embarassing loss holds all the info we need to know about the state of Chicago pro football... 1. We have nothing on the lines. It's all won and lost in the trenches and we have nothing. The O Line is a joke, and for all the hoopla around Marinelli, hte D line is a joke. Jason, nfo and a ton of other posters have been clammoring for O Line in the draft to the point where suggestions were made that every single pick be the line. That idea is not silly, it's a virtual must now... 2. We miss Urlacher. If not just for his speed and knowledge, his fire is sorely needed out on that field. Briggs is great, but d…

Year 3 of 5 year rebuild: Poles retains Flus ( who was still under contract) because he went 5-3 at the end of the season. He had the defense humming and the lousy offense got blamed on Getsy. Poles drafts Caleb-Odunze-(TRADED 2ND ROUND FOR SWEAT)- 3rd round T( coimg off an injury that would have went in 2)-Blue chip punter-future edge. Brings in Shelton-Bates-Allen-Everret-Swift- Pryor. Davis blows up, Borom-Bates-Kiran all not able to start the season. Jenkins proves he cant stay healthy and Wright and Jones get hurt. Bad spot for any team let alone the Bears. Waldron proves he isnt a good coach, reflects back on Flus for Judgement. Caleb struggles …

The epitome of mediocrity 1. 6-6 record, 16th overall ranking on defense, 23rd overall ranking on offense. It doesn't get (much) more tepid than that. What's especially disturbing,however... 2. Is how the Bears appear to be regressing. The defense has been spotty at best all season. now the offense can't get out of its own way. Special teams, a former strength, have disappeared. "Super Bowl" contenders, when they lose tough games early in the season, from my recollection, don't get steadily worse as the season wears on. The Giants didn't "fade out" to close the 2007 season...at least that's not how I recall it. Speaking of fading out... 3. Kyle Orton. Yes, he'…

Seeing that San Diego made Eric Weddle one of the highest paid safeties in football reminded me of how the Bears botched a perfect trade. During the 2007 Draft, the Chargers traded the 62nd pick, 93rd pick, a 2008 3rd & 5th rounder to move up to the 37th pick and select Weddle. I praised JA for getting a a 2nd, 2 3rds, and a 5th for a 2nd. Helluva a deal. Unless you use those picks to take Dan Bazuin, Garrett Wolfe, Kevin Payne, and Marcus Harrison. Yikes.

The whole story about Long being a reach is starting to get to me. He was the 3rd rated OG in most of everyones eyes but the preceding pick the 6th rated OT is not a reach. So as I continue to look at this from a Bear fan's perspective, here is what I see: 1st pick comes from a Mid Major conference what was his level of comp. 3rd pick Former TE on defense for only 2yrs rarely played with hand in the dirt and this was a trade up. 4th pick Former Juco QB,TE and DE and 2 yr OL 5th pick Enetered school as track athlete, tried basketball first, zero starts before senior year 13 games as Senior 4.5 sacks. 6th picks 4.5 sacks and drafted as an edge rusher 7…

I don't care if there are 22 players on defense, you don't make that call in that situation. The Bears were up by two, had a slight edge in momentum, and basically gave a field goal away. To be quite honest, the Bears defense - minus one play - did a great job tonight. With one Cutler INT leading to what amounted to a two yard "TD drive" by the Packers, and the fake punt leading to a gimme field goal, it's a game the Bears should have won. They put in the requisite effort, but the offense shit the bed and is almost completely responsible for the loss. Not a great start, but there is definitely a silver lining to all of this. If the Bears' O, ST, and coachi…

The players have voted and the consensus is that Jay Cutler is not one of the top 100 players in the league but Tim Tebow currently a backup is.This just solidifies all the stupid tweets from the previous year when Cutler got hurt during the NFC Championship game. There is no way that Tebow or even some of the fullbacks voted in the top 100 should be ranked ahead of Cutler. This is why I hate these stupid polls.

I've been seeing everyone spooge all over the idea of Flacco for some time now. And, all of the sudden, this guy is flying up the depth chart at the combine like Matt Jones, going from a 4th to a late first. I can understand if you love the guy and want to draft him, but a late first rounder for someone widely considered a fourth rounder just a month or so ago is absolute lunacy. I'd be much happier passing of Flacco if it meant the Bears got to A) Keep their picks, and Draft non-reach picks with the first two rounds. If Flacco is there in the third, fine, grab him. But since he won't be there, why reach? I'd much rather see an OL, OL, QB draft sequence w…

  18. Refrigerator’ Perry hospitalized in S. Carolina CHICAGO (AP)—Former Chicago Bears defensive lineman William “The Refrigerator” Perry is in serious condition at a South Carolina hospital, a spokeswoman said Tuesday. Perry, 46, was hospitalized to deal with complications from Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a chronic inflammation disorder of the peripheral nerves, the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune reported. Aiken Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Melissa Summer declined to give additional details Tuesday. Perry’s nephew, Purnell Perry, told the Sun-Times his uncle was admitted more than a week ago but was expected to recover. “They were making su…

Not sure how many people have seen the article today on the Trib's website however, William "The Refrigerator" Perry is struggling financially due to the fact of the disease he was diagnosed with in June 2008. The disease is Guillan Barre Syndrome, which is a nervous system disease. Perry also has CIDP as well, which only makes things a bit worse for Perry. Here is the story on the Trib's website: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/chi-1...0,4191114.story Da' Coach's "Grid Iron Greats" organization is working to assist Perry however, not able to get everything that is necessary to help out. There is a website to keep people updated on the condition of th…

  20. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...1012-story.html So, where does the team stand? When you have players like Porter and Cutler (yes I said Cutler) who can somehow play "hurt" with a bad hammy...this continues with AJ? I know he needs to be near 100% to be really effective but c'mon! Theoretically since he's not doing much now he won't have much value come 'new contract' or when other teams come sniffing.
