After all of us posting mocks, debating FA pickups and FA departures going forward my focus will be on how the current roster takes to this regime and how many of the veterans of the previous regime will survive this TC. I usually take a vacation and visit 1 day. I'm thinking about making a couple of days out of it when I go. What are any of the rest of you expecting to see.

Football Outsiders ratings (after Week 2): Obviously with a road win against a great team, we got a huge boost from last week. An interesting note is that due to Buffalo's win, they are now considered a stronger team making our Week 1 loss not look so bad. We improved 17.6% and now have a 49.1% to make the playoffs, which ends up being one of the Wild Cards. The NFC playoff teams are now: PHI 70.1%, SEA 69.5%, CAR 66.9%, GB 54.4%, ARZ 56.0%, and CHI 49.1%. SF is 7th at 46.9% and WAS is 8th at 41.7%. For team efficiency ratings, the Bears are now 6th (using their DAVE formula), DEN-1, SEA-2, NE-3, GB-4, CIN-5, CHI-6, NO-7, SF-8, PHI-9, CAR-10. NFC has …

  5. I like the look of the cover, they went with Troy Polamalu & Larry Fitz in the first dual cover we've seen. Nice look to it and the splatter effect on the box looks pretty good. I am going to make my own custom one so the selection of the two doesn't bother me. Thoughts? Credit to AlterEgo of VSN on finding it http://www.virtualsportsnetwork.com/forum/...ead.php?t=17340

  6. Bears can pull the plug on Peppers after one year Posted by Mike Florio on March 8, 2010 11:07 PM ET We mentioned earlier tonight some of the details relating to the Julius Peppers deal. We've picked up some more information about the contract, and it's now clear that if the Bears clean house after the 2010 season, it'll be easier for the new regime to bid Peppers adieu. As Peter King of SI.com pointed out this afternoon, Peppers gets $20 million in 2010 (all but a $100,000 workout bonus is guaranteed). But the $22 million in guaranteed money that he's due to receive in 2011 and 2012 is guaranteed for injury only. This means that the Bears can decide after…

So if my understanding is correct, tomorrow is the day the NFL can announce a change for the Bears vs Pats game to be moved to prime time Sunday night. Any chance they do?

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/...-bears-defense/ Ditka sees no talent, no pride on Bears’ defense Posted by Michael David Smith on November 12, 2014, 12:57 PM EST Ditka Getty Images Mike Ditka, the man who coached perhaps the greatest defense in NFL history with the 1985 Bears, does not like the defense he sees in Chicago this year. Ditka told the Chicago Sun-Times that he thinks both the effort and the talent level are lacking on the Bears’ defense after the debacle in Green Bay on Sunday night. “The defense is not good,” Ditka said. “I don’t see a lot of leadership out of certain players. I think they have a problem. Marc [Trestman]…

So what will be the biggest buzz when training camp breaks and they come back to Chicago? Forte holding out? Cutler-Marshall duo looking great? Alson Jeffery becomes a starter? J. Webb loses starter job to C. Williams? Carimi move the the LT position? Im making the call, Forte a holdout.

The more mocks you do, the more names you notice. I present to you the most interesting name draft I could make. 1. Taco Charlton, DE, Michigan - It's a reach, but who doesn't love tacos? 2. JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC - Hopefully this would be some good juju for the rest of the draft. 3. Budda Baker, S, Washington - I almost went with DeDe Westbrook for repetition, but having good juju and karma is tough to beat. 4. Fish Smithson, S, Kansas - Fish tacos anyone? 4. Jake Butt, TE, Michigan - My inner 7-year old is laughing. His draft stock will fall because of the knee injury. 5. Chunky Clements, DT, Illinois - Chunky fish tacos anyone? 7. Storm …

  18. Gotta love the national media. We are now in the top 10 of most power rankings and our odds to make the playoffs is 3rd best in the league (behind LAR and KC). According to DVOA, we have the best defense in the league (by far) and the 2nd best team overall. We only have 3 games against teams that are in the top half of the league (LAR, GB, and NE). Those are ironically all home games, and the Rams is December 9th (Bear weather).

  19. Started by BearSox,

I never really thought they had much of a chance, but if San Diego made it to the Superbowl, we would have moved up a draft slot. Well, baring some miracle, the Steelers are thumping them right now and are gonna be in the AFC championship game. So, our official draft slota on the first day will be: -18th pick in round 1, 18th overall -17th pick in round 2, 49th overall The rest of our picks now are pretty much contingent on how Arizona does next week, and where all the comp picks go to.
