You know most men endeavor to rule a kingdom. I am no different. The new GM has a daunting task this offseason and I'm going to play the role. Here's my agenda... 1) Send a letter to Briggs agent, telling Briggs to play this year, keep his mouth shut and we will extend him next year. A message needs to be sent by the new leadership, that stongarm tactics will not be tolerated. However, good play and locker room leadership will be rewarded. 2) Message to players Part II. Find a way to get Forte under contract. This a veteran team and Forte deserves the loyalty of NOT being franchised. A little good will goes a long way in the locker room. 3) Sign …

Highlights: -Wished Waddle a happy birthday. -When asked about Vincent Jackson, he said any WR in FA over 6'2 would be nice. -Said the baby is due "late summer." -Really talked up Brandon Marshall again. -Claimed "the word on the street" is that Emery will add playmakers. -Loves the Bates hire and loves Tice as well (praised Lovie for their hires/promotions). -Called the Times and Trib "tabloids" which was funny. -Said he's only golfed one time this offseason. -Claimed he's been working out in Nashville and that he'll be throwing soon.

This is not good news. Bowe is tagged; Johnson expected to resign. Desean Jackson tagged (although could be had via trade). Vincent Jackson still in negotiations with the Chargers. Saints have more cap space than expected (related to Colston). And Floyd puts up a strong 40 time (which makes it more likely that he comes off the board before 19). Will they have to look at Mike Wallace (and the loss of a 1st rounder). If so, could the Bears cut a deal to trade down (get another pick) and than sign Wallace (haha). Levi Brown/LT/Cardinals is set to hit the market being he has 14.5 mill payment this year. He started slow but last year played well. He will get big money but is durable.

Now according to Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports, the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears also appear to be interested in Landry as well. Both teams need an upgrade at the safety position, and might be able to get Landry at a good price, since he hasn’t played a full regular season since 2008. Cole also stated that the Redskins want Landry back, which is a bit of shock since I’ve been hearing they’re ready to move on from him.

It doesn't seem like it's free agency until we have an official "Sign OJ Atogwe" thread. Now it's offical. I was THRILLED with the Brandon Meriweather signing. Please do not bring in anymore high priced safeties. Thank you. Atogwe is cheap. He can compete with Conte and Major Wright. He's Better than anybody else we have. Get it done.

They have us taking Reily Reiff in the first Cris Givens/WR -Wake Forest in the sencond and Spence/LB-Miami not so thrilled with the WR., but Reiff at 19 is great
