So what are your general thoughts on the trade? I think Indy got a steal getting someone drafted that high for what is almost guaranteed to be a late 1st rounder. If Indy was looking for an RB, I am surprised a team like HOU (Foster/Tate) or BUF (Spiller/Jackson) were not in on this type of deal. Cleveland was already bad and just got a lot worse, so I don't know what their motivation was to pull the string on a deal like this now, especially if IND was the desperate team. Why not a 1st and a 3rd to compensate for the draft position? To me, the timing and value of the trade seem a little odd. I would be pissed if the Bears did something like this, especially i…

Im not sure where the Bears started the season but our odds of winning the Super Bowl are 20 to 1. Looking at the odds? KC is 33-1,Houston 12-1, Denver 4-1 I think with Clady being out for the season, Denver has dropped a little with there expectations. We will see how they do against some of there tougher opponents, any more key injuries and they might not make it. I suppose you can say that about any good team thou.

I expected a very physical Steelers team to show up tonight on both offense and defense, especially the defense. That's exactly what we got. We had the game in control until we hit their punter and that ended up giving them a TD a few plays later. Yet on the road where the momentum changed in the home team's favor the Bears responded on both defense and offense in the 4th quarter and that is what good teams do. It's not all perfect, we're still missing a pass rush and we gave up far too many big plays on D. The Oline must get better at run blocking. Our first draft pick in 2014 will likely be a DT. Depending on who drops it could be a CB but I think DT…

Peppers: I can't see how this team will pay him 17 million this year. On defense I only watched him and he is slower and not overpowering anyone. Either he agrees to a major pay cut or he is gone. Melton: after watching his injury in slow motion. When his foot planted with that little bit of rotation and then it buckled, it looks an awful like an ACL. Defense/Offense: after scoring early it felt like we were playing not to lose. Overall: I love being 3-0. The only ugly part is that we aren't putting our foot on anyone's throat. Too much playing to the level of the competition. It's great now, but it's not a switch that can always be turned o…

Didn't wanna take away from the other thread so I'll start a new one. I'm cap illiterate so I was trying to figure out how much the bears would save if they cut him next year.... I read this on roto So to me that sounds like the bears save nearly 14 mill by cutting him while only being on the hook for a little over 4M right?

Sorry I know Bleacher Report isn't a "source" but saw this article and smiled at remembering the play. Don't do it again Jay. http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/17837...n=chicago-bears

Sucks for us and him, as he was on the franchise tag. Collins has be playing really solid, so hopefully others will step up.

  14. ABOUT LAST NIGHT: Cutty had his Jimmy Mac moment lowering his shoulder into the DB! Loved it! Hated it! But it all ended well. OVERALL POSITIVES: 1. We still have an opportunistic D. We are generally bending, but not breaking. Other than the odd big play, we seem to do fairly well keeping folks out of the end zone. 2. I'm thrilled with the OL! We went from awful to good. That's huge. Super huge. Ultra-mega huge. 3. Forte, Marshall, Jeffrey, and trhe Bennetts are getting the job done, and done well. The Unicorn has been a big big plus. I expected the WR's and RB's to look good, but wasn't sure about the Unicorn. I'm very pleased. 4. Cut…

In today's MMQB by Peter King, he says right now Kyle Long would get his vote for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Thoughts? I didn't watch closely enough at he and Mills in particular last night, but I know he opened the whole for Forte's long run and I do know Cutler's on pace to only be sacked 16 times. So much for him being not worthy of the pick.

Well guys what else can I say. Last night watched our beloved kick some ass and this morning the wife gave birth #3. 1st daughter and since we can't enjoy the honey bears we bought a bears cheerleader outfit for her for Halloween. Mommy and Maddison Viola are both doing great

With the loss of Melton, DT just became a little higher priority for adding talent. I scoped out a couple mock sites and put a wish list together. This coming offseason will be a handful for Emery and Meltons injury just added to that pressure. Rd 1 Timmy Jennigan DT FSU 6-2 298 Fits the mold of a 3T tackle the Bears look for, quick burst, disruptive. Rd 2 Justin Gilbert CB Ok SU 6-0 194 CB with size and experience. Rd 3 Hroniss Grasu C Oregon 6-3 294 Quick/athletic, also a great run blocker for Oregon's fast paced attack. Chip Kelly will also be looking for his anchor to make the line calls. Rd 4 Barrett Jackso…

Cutler looks totally different dropping back and planting from last few years to this year, even when there is pressure he seems to be more confident. This is only week three, the more reps and more plays that go into the play book this O should only get better. Dumping off to Forte has been great. Take what the D gives us. Im really excited to see where this O goes. With our D we should be in every game, if the O is able to keep getting better this should be awesome to watch. I'm liking what I'm seeing from the Offense, especially with the way they have started. They seem to get off to a good start and then get conservative, then pick it back up in the fourth. …

I think we discussed the "dark horse" contenders earlier in the season and I don't want to necessarily tip my hat to *unnamed poster*, but I believe he picked Frey (at least I think it was him) to be that candidate. So far, Frey has been pretty impressive. I see a 'Corey Graham' type of player in the making and there almost is no doubt he (Frey) is the current starting Nickel back. IMHO, he is defintitely the better option over Hayden. From what I've seen when he's playing, he's been around the ball in almost each instance. So far, of the 13 total tackles that he's got for the season 6 were made during the game with Pitt. And to put things in perspective; Brig…

I just wanted to point out how good this guy has been. He has done everything from big hits, open field tackles, etc. He is a hybrid of Colvin/Hillenmeyer... can do the grunt work and also make the big play. Id really like to see more of Bostic and Greene, cuz they are the long term. However, DJ and Anderson have done well. I loved on the pick6 when he plowed Cotchery, ha...
