Did the Bears trade last year's pick they received from NYJ for Jones to SD for their 2nd 3rd round pick this year, or did they trade that pick they got from NYJ to SD and got SD's 3rd and maybe a 4th rounder of last year's draft?

It is admirable that all on this board, while there are occasional disagreements, are all united in their passion for the Chicago Bears. I for one very much enjoy this board; I enjoy the different takes on many subjects, I enjoy many poster's thought processes. I enjoy having the chance to discuss one of the outlets (the Bears) in my life that helps relieve the stress that comes with working and everyday life. I am tired of these players not wanting to play under the contracts they signed, and am ready to deal w/ the situation. Urlacher - NO desperatly wants to upgrade at LB, and has even been talked about trading up in this weak LB draft to get Rivers. Instead, we offer them one of the best LBs in the game. That is the question. I have gone back and forth. On one hand, I do not want to tie up a ton of money into a player who I question will ever be a #1. On the other hand, can we really afford to lose him? So some talk about the tag, as have I at times, and I just got to thinking about the numbers. What sort of deal do we expect Berrian to seek? He turned down, I think, something in the $20m range w/ $8m guaranteed, which is about what we offered Randle El a couple years ago. So what is he looking at. The big question of the day, in the media, is what do the Bears play for this Sunday? Do we play as if the Rams will lose and we have home field to gain? Do we play to rest nicked up players and hope to win? Rest starters knowing we'll meet again the following week? Or do we play like we want to make a statement and send the Vikings on vacation. Lovie had stolen all the credit for the defense being dominant the past few years, when really the mastermind was Rivera. These past two seasons with lovies "right hand man" Babich we have been aweful on defense. HMM, well we were a top 5 defense with rivera, but lovie fires him and gives the job to someone who did jack shit to earn the job other then kiss lovie's cover 2 ass.
