Doesnt make sense to me, he acted like an ass because they wanted him to play in a 3-4, so then he gets traded to the Pats who run a 3-4. The Pats get him for a 5th and his salary is only 5million this year. For a 5th and 5million i would have liked to seen him in a Bears helmet. Now i say this not knowing what the rest of his contract looks like. I would think he would be happy playing in our 4-3 scheme.

It seems like this organization has had a player development deficit for quite some time. When has a player come into the organization and played better on the Bears than on a previous team (Akiem Hicks?). Of the recent acquisitions, the only player not to play worse on defense has been Billings. Edmunds, Edwards, Walker, Green, and Jones all seem worse this year. Tonyan has been bad, Davis with the obvious personal issues, but even Patrick has disappointed. I want us to draft this guy anywhere on day 3. He can block he can run better than Kmet and he seems to have equally good hands. He does not have the movement skills of Loveland. I see him as a good fit for our TE2 a year down the road. The fact he was Loveland teammate should only help him acclimate to the team quicker. With the Jets likely winning the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes, they will likely try to get some value for Darnold. This is just me, but Darnold is better than what we have. So what say you? Dumping Podlesh was no surprise. What's surprising is that he was the only guy cut. If more are coming, why wait? Other possible cuts include Michael Bush, Eric Weems, Peppers, and Earl Bennett. Are we going to wait to upgrade these positions? Make them go into training camp? I know Peppers has the June release date for cap reasons. Your thoughts?
