The draft will fill some of our roster spots, but other than the first two rounds, how much will you be able to count on them for major contributions. We still have some roster spots to fill that has to get done. We still need a backup QB. I think McCown is the logical choice, due to our comfort zone with him and he will be cheap. Also Campbell could come back but after paying him 3.5 mil last year , I dont see him playing cheap. Unless its a high draft pick, I dont see us getting our #2 in the draft. LMAO, what a bunch of losers, complaining about the refs and their kicker when their QB throws 2 INTs late. Love had 2-3 nice throws the entire game, but also had 2 INTs and probably should've had a 3rd. Even with a 100 yard rusher, unless the receivers were wide open, he couldn't hit them. My question to all of you is this: is this the most snake bitten season the Bears have ever had? Drill that down to the OL and we can say that we've not seen the projected starting five all season. Here are the top 10 power rankings and the Bears ranking: CBS Sports - 4th Yahoo - 5th NFL.com - 6th Sharp - 6th NBC/PFT - 7th ESPN - 8th The Score - 8th Fox/Brady - 9th USA Today - 9th nfelo - 10th Average - 7.2 It feels like any team in the top 10 has a shot at the Super Bowl, the Rams are the closest to a complete team and they just lost to the Seahawks. If the Bears beat the 49ers, they have to be considered a top 5 team, which is hard to believe, and it is wild to see some rankings already have them in the top 5.

Last year we were the top rushing defense in the league, tied leading the league in interceptions with 22. Other areas we were not very strong. When Sweat got here things started to change. The worst pass rush in the league got better. We lost Justin Jones ( a good player) and Eddie Jackson who IMO didnt contribute anything to the defense. What's different? We will have Sweat for the whole year. He upgraded the play of everyone around him. Kevin Byard is a better player than Jackson. 28 career intceptions in 8 years. A much better tackler than Eddie. I was looking up some numbers, basically to see how rare a situation Myles Garrett is in with his level of individual dominance combined with team failures and right off the bat, he is definitely up in the top 10 all-time. With a career AV of 123, he has only played in 3 playoff games. There are only 7 players with higher AV and 3 or fewer playoff games. 6 played pre-1970, leaving Willie Roaf as the only modern day player to have more AV with 3 or fewer playoff games. He has a 145 AV with only 3 playoff games. So if CLE misses the playoffs again in 2026, Garrett will pass Roaf during the 2027 season with the highest AV with fewest playoff games in NFL history (SB era). …
