Still waiting on McDonald's and Ball's contracts, but I am impressed that we got Foster on a league minimum deal. Ray McDonald's 1-year contract with #Bears included no guaranteed money. Base value is $1.05M. Another $450K available in incentives. Alan Ball 2015: $1 million signing bonus, $1.95 million base salary, $50,000 workout bonus Total: $3 million Cap figure: $3 million Mason Foster 2015: $80,000 signing bonus, $745,000 base salary Total: $825,000 Cap figure: $665,000 (minimum salary benefit) Ray McDonald 2015: $870,000 base salary, $50,000 roster bonus, $30,000 workout bonus, $100,000 in per-game roster bonuses, $450,000 in not …

Our top 3 signings were all seen as "+0.5: Common sense shines through" Lamarr Houston (DE) to Bears: 5-year, $35m with $15m guaranteed The Bears’ defense needed help and in Houston they have added a versatile and productive defensive lineman in the hope of reinvigorating a unit that struggled in 2013. Houston’s top quality run defense (+14.9 in 2013) will be a welcome boost though he isn’t quite the top-drawer pass rusher that they might be hoping for. That, however, is reflected in his price tag and he will be a solid and productive contributor so long as the Bears don’t expect him to turn around their pass rush single-handedly. If deployed correctly this has the…

The division is easily the best division in football, and the last 2 months of the season are going to be a bloodbath. The Bears have 6 division games left, GB and DET both have 5, and MIN has 4. Those games will ultimately decide the division and even some WC spots as we knock each other down in the conference standings. I am hoping the Bears can at least split with each team and go 3-3 in the division games. That would give the Bears a good shot at 10-7 and a WC spot. CHI - Team still improving, on a 3-game win streak, last 4-game win streak was in 2018. 3 winnable games coming up, need to take care of business. DET - Hutchinson out for the year who was playing…

  5. 2/$6 million for Josh Blackwell as key ST contributor and CB depth Smythe is your Gerald Everett replacement with better blocking. He was with Miami when Ben Johnson was there, so looks like another one of “his guys”.

In reading today's articles about JA's interview it seems he's changing his strategy a bit from what he's done in years past. Recently we've taken players who fell a bit due to injury. Of course everyone knows what happened with Williams last year. In the past we've taken Bazuin who I believe had a bit of an injury pre-draft that was aggravated in camp. Of course we took Harrison in Rd 3 and Bowman in Rd 5 who both fell due to injury concerns. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2009/04/an...ss_2009_nf.html "Angelo on drafting players with medical c…

Don't quit your day job! He sang the 7th inning stretch and sounded as if he was tone deaf. He also mentioned that he originally wore number 85 his rookie year and changed to 80 because he liked Jerry Rice and he felt 80 fit him better. Since he was basically redshirted his rookie year I never remember him wearing 85.

I don’t get to watch many games lately. But I got to see Red zone highlights. What struck me was that every single time Fields drops back he is being chased. Every snap someone is busting through relatively cleanly. One play it’s from the left. Next play it’s up the gut. Then the right. Then the channel flips to KC, and Mahomes has time to tie his shoes on every other play. Until the QB gets time CONSISTENTLY, he can never be properly evaluated, and can never truly progress. Keep Fields. Trade the #1. Draft OL.

We can say this much about Emery: He has moved quickly to fix our offense and that includes hiring a HC with an offensive background. I'm looking forward to seeing the results. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...ars-roster.html Instead, the roster is laden with players acquired by Emery — including 19 of the 24 players on offense. Only quarterback Jay Cutler, running back Matt Forte, center Roberto Garza, wide receiver Earl Bennett and tight end Kyle Adams remain from the Angelo era on offense.

One HELL of a game! Those two QBs (Tua and Burrow) are going to be something in the NFL. Look for Bama and LSU players dominating the draft in the next few years.

All day long I've read all this about sports and football in covid - 19. Was going to post a BS post about how I know better than everyone else. LOL. Bottom line is I hope all these people who make a lot more mula than me and run all these billion dollar sports leagues can get things to work. But I'm sorry, I just don't see it in todays world. Thats why the world is better off left to those who say they can vs those who say you can't.
