When Vic Fangio was named to John Fox's staff, I wondered what was coming. Now with Eberflus coaching the Cover 2 defense, I have the same questions! Who on this roster fits this scheme? Our new GM has made it clear that he is going to build this team in step with his coach. I love this and I'm willing to wait on the results

This is how the roster could look next summer: Quarterback Here: Jay Cutler, Caleb Hanie, Brett Basanez. Cutler's the franchise, Hanie continues to mature in the system, and Basanez is a solid No. 3. With a limited number of draft picks, the Bears might not have the luxury of adding a young arm, but they already have three. Running back Here: Matt Forte, Kahlil Bell, Garrett Wolfe. Forte had a down year, but he's versatile and can be a workhorse, which he proved as a rookie. Bell is a more patient runner who appeared to have better quickness than Forte in limited but impressive duty. Wolfe averaged 5.5 yards per carry and can factor as a pass…

Same age as Forte, can't believe how fast MJD fell off the map. Has 30 more carries than Forte.

Don't quit your day job! He sang the 7th inning stretch and sounded as if he was tone deaf. He also mentioned that he originally wore number 85 his rookie year and changed to 80 because he liked Jerry Rice and he felt 80 fit him better. Since he was basically redshirted his rookie year I never remember him wearing 85.

My best case off season moves; Sign one of the two FA WR Robinson-Watkins! Make a hard play for Norwell. Make a great offer for best CB free agent in their minds. Butler etc. For me please not 25 They should be able to do two of the three and sign some of their own FA etc. For the draft; One of these 5 options should be available at 8, best option based on the above. Draft Nelson, Edmunds, Ward, Ridley, trade down. And if they can't make any trades etc. and only keep Fuller I would use that order.

A guy at my office just said he overhead on the radio (this in LA mind you...) that this game is being thought of in similar fashion for the Lions as the 1st game back from Katrina was for the Saints. He said he wanted to puke. (This guy's a Ravens fan BTW). Katrina and NO is one thing, but this is something else. The hype is in full force. Bear down!

Roster moves: The Bears on Tuesday signed linebacker Darrell McClover and waived/injured guard Tyler Reed (knee) and tight end Fontel Mines (knee). McClover appeared in 22 games over the past three seasons with the Bears, registering 36 special teams tackles and two blocked punts. He recorded 14 stops while playing in the first 10 games last year before sustaining a season-ending hamstring injury. Reed joined the Bears in 2006 as a sixth-round pick and spent the past three seasons on the practice squad. Mines arrived as an undrafted free agent in 2007 and spent most of his two seasons with the Bears on the practice squad

The NFC in 2012 has the potential to be one of the best CONFERENCES ever. The Saints are still the Saints and still have Brees despite the bounties. At the worst, they're a 9-7 team. Cam Newton will continue to get better. The Bucs added good players in FA and drafted well. The Falcons are 42-21 since 2008 (IIRC) and they're always a good team. The Bears now have a great WR corps and the potential for a GREAT offense if Tice does well. The Packers are the Packers. The Vikings can be a 6-7 win team this year if Peterson is back considering their draft. The Lions will be solid if Stafford is healthy. SF is dangerous as they kept their whole D plus they …

With my new career as an over the road truck driver I am wondering if someone wouldn't mind taping the games for me on DVD, this way I can break down the games during my down time in the truck.
