I have read an article about Jared Crick /DE/Neb. He had two productive years until last year when he tore his pictoral muscle. As a 3rd round pick he could be a great valve, since they say he had a first round grade until his injury. Also he could slide in to the 3 tech tackle spot as he has played inside before. Andre Branch/Clem/DE in 2nd or 3rd. High production senior season, long armed, non stop motor. good speed. Jack Brequette/AR/DE at a 4 th or 5th rounder has good size, non stop motor, stength and 10 sacks senior season.

There are only a few spots left in the playoffs going into the last week. In the NFC, SF is 9-7 and NO is 8-8. SF has to beat LAR to get in. NO has to beat ATL and have SF lose to get in. Odds are in favor of NO here. If that happens, it will 4 out of 5 seasons out of the playoffs for Shanahan who still has a losing record as a coach. I don't get all the love he gets. So this guy got 1 target and 1 reception in Week 1. Even with that week of low usage, he still is 5th amongst TEs in receptions and yards, 3rd for 1st Downs, and has the highest Catch Rate amongst the top 20 TEs this season. He is 8th in AAV for his contract amongst TEs, only 500K more than Friermuth. It feels like the Bears got a very solid deal with Kmet who is signed thru 2027. His cap hit is fixed, so every year it is going to become an even better deal.

Comcast is reporting the Bears are reaching out to Josh McCown who is still unsigned since they cut him before the season.This might indicate the Bears may be trying to be careful with Cutler since he has suffered multiple concussions in his career and they would be big hippocrates after hosting a press conference on Sunday featuring Otis Wilson, Gary Fencik and Ted Phillips about concussions.

I am not sure if I am pro Cutler next year or Josh and a rookie to groom. In a perfect world, we would resign Culter for a reasonable price. My questions is with all the attention from other teams about going after Culter this offseason, What would have been the incentive for Culter to come back this year risking more injuries if we would have lost last night? Would he have played the I'm not 100% card to go into the FA period healthy?

Has any one seen this. The day before the Bears/Vikings game Peterson was caught speeding doing 109 in a 55mph zone. When questioned by coaches as to why he was late getting back to the hotel that night he said he got a "little" speeding ticket. There have only been 18 games since 2002 where a player had 150+ yds, on 20 or less carries, at least 2 TDs, 2 receptions, and 10+ receiving yards. 16 players to do it, Tomlinson and Jonathan Taylor are the only 2 to do it twice ( from 2002-2022). The last 5 before Herbert were Taylor x2 (20/21), Aaron Jones (20), McCaffrey (19), Chubb (19), and LeSean McCoy in 2016.
