A guy at my office just said he overhead on the radio (this in LA mind you...) that this game is being thought of in similar fashion for the Lions as the 1st game back from Katrina was for the Saints. He said he wanted to puke. (This guy's a Ravens fan BTW). Katrina and NO is one thing, but this is something else. The hype is in full force. Bear down!

Not Bears related but should be a good SB this year. Bengals haven't been to the SB since 88, and It's been a while for the Rams. It's funny how much crap this guy takes because he is not Kelce or Kittle in their prime. Sure he is probably not a true top 5 TE, but he is constantly in the top 10 in most categories, yet it seems like people treat him like a dud. Wouldn't mind seeing the Bears bite one bit. Still just 24 years old he'd only be a couple years older than what our 2nd rounder would be, and he's already established himself as a top 5 safety. Injury is a bit of a concern though.

Swift Sports Network put out a short video about Poles interest in Jake Witt. Seems he has been in touch with him for over a year, interviewed him, took him out to dinner, etc... Then I read an interview held with him on windycitygridiron.com. I suspect Poles will draft him with one of our 7th round picks or gamble and pick him up as a UFA. One way or another, don't be surprised if this kid doesn't wind up as a special project for Poles on our practice squad.
