If Cutler had hit Hester on that wide open fly route. Instead of leading him and scoring a TD the ball was under thrown and batted down. It was a 3 point game at that point. Hitting a deep ball like that could have changed the game. Also i remeber the Bears running a TE screen, why did they not run some RB screens???

Comcast is reporting the Bears are reaching out to Josh McCown who is still unsigned since they cut him before the season.This might indicate the Bears may be trying to be careful with Cutler since he has suffered multiple concussions in his career and they would be big hippocrates after hosting a press conference on Sunday featuring Otis Wilson, Gary Fencik and Ted Phillips about concussions.

Has any one seen this. The day before the Bears/Vikings game Peterson was caught speeding doing 109 in a 55mph zone. When questioned by coaches as to why he was late getting back to the hotel that night he said he got a "little" speeding ticket. Punter and LS back in the fold. So RB (Howard), S (Amos), CB (Callahan), and K (Double Doink) are the only starters that didn't return out of the starting 25 on Offense, Defense, and ST. We also already signed Davis, HHCD, and Skrine to replace three, so Kicker is the last starter needed.

The more I look into this, the more I believe Fields is going to easily throw for more than 3500 yards. We are just so tainted by the last two years that we can't see past those. Trubisky averaged 208 yds/g for the Bears. Even in just a 16 game season, he averaged 3328 yds per season. That includes his rookie year where they barely let him pass. Trubisky threw for 3223 yds in 2018 (in 14 games), that was 230 Y/G, which would be 3910 for 17 games. So who did Mitch have to throw to? So looking up some different stats, I was shocked to find out that there is only one QB in NFL history to open their career up with over 4,000 Passing Yards, +25 Passing TDs, less than 10 INTs, and 500 Rushing Yards before the age of 24. Caleb Williams. I think he has 5 more games before hitting 24. So every stat he gets will stack onto this own record. He should easily hit 5K and 30 TDs by then. Crazy.

My hope is that Trubisky progresses like Goff. The quality of our defense and running game will help a lot.

There has been a lot of talk about the surprise and promise of our young team. Did anyone here or nationally predict 8-4? Nah. We have also read some very good analysis that shows we are amongst the top of the league in many aspects. But yet some are pessimistic about the remainder of the season. This year has truly shown me that one or two plays can swing the balance of any game. We have seen that in all four of our losses this year. This season anything can happen. Don't look for the window to be open next year, because it is open now!

I keep hearing about the teams with the best spots for a rookie QB, and I understand there are a bunch of factors that go into that, but at the end of the day it comes down to the core skill position players with the ball in their hands. I know coaching, scheme, O-Line, defense, and even opponents all factor into this, but it is hard for me to look at the 5 teams with 1st Round rookies and not like the position the Bears are in from a skill position standpoint.
