I know it’s not Bears football but I’m a fan of Fangios and my sister lives near so... At any rate, saw this video and noticed Vic has his own “boom” type of speech. Wonder if it was Nagy that taught him that or the other way around? And gotta love his opening line.

Continuing with Lucky's recent research, the folks at ESPN (more specifically Grantland) have produced some interesting stats as they relate to the draft. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/785360...-truly-valuable It's not all that surprising in some regards, but it does back up the concept that some positions are safer to draft in the first two rounds, and some have higher bust rates. TE is the safest in the first two rounds, and OL is the second safest. Similarly, no position other than QB drops off in production like OL does after the first two rounds. There are always reasons to debate data like this - we've probable covered them all - this is…

I have watched quite a few kickers in my time watching Bears football and since early Butthead (Kevin Butler)this is probably the best kicker in Bears history IMO.The tandem of he and Podlesh are second only to Janikowski and Lechler in Oakland. When It comes to fantasy points Gould is a good consistent point scorer and in leagues where special teams and defense are combined he along with Hester make the Bears D a solid choice.

So I got an email today from NFL Sunday Ticket that the preseason game would stream on my NFL Sunday Ticket app today, sort of a test out the software pre weekend offer I guess. So Ive got my app open, and I can see the other games, but the Bears feed is just black. It's not blacked out in Arizona. Anyone else seeing this too? I had the same result on multiple devices.

While there was nothing spectacular on our KRs I did like the speed and vision Rashad Ross showed later in the game. He's in a tough spot after only joining the team on Sep 1st and just a few weeks later he's out there auditioning for a full-time role. I couldn't find much on him in terms of draft profile and I don't remember him as a standout at ASU. Looks like he ran a 4.34 forty at his pro day http://www.houseofsparky.com/2013/4/26/425...rashad-ross-asu "The fastest players on the day were wide receivers Rashad Ross and Jamal Miles, who ran 4.34 and 4.44 in the 40, respectively." I don't know if he's the answer but he appears to offer a bit more than Se…

After both retired, Tunney asked Butkus about his zest for violence. " I always called him Richard. I asked him, ‘Richard, did you ever intentionally try to hurt somebody?’ “He said, ‘Nah, not unless it was in a game or something.’” From a story https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2019/12/12/21005035/fumble-pile-violence-nfl-stories Why I love watching football. Always viewed it as contact ballet. It's the grace of a WR or a running back. An OF line or DF player on one hand wanting to pile drive the other yet be so graceful as to just make them pound air. Such a violent yet graceful game. And then you add the chess like strategy.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001106246/article/nfl-player-vote-ratifies-new-cba-through-2030-season It's going to increase the salary cap but we also add 2 players to the roster....55 now which I think is good. I don't know if they will increase the game day roster because that's something else I'd like to see since we are moving to a 17 game schedule. Anything we can do to reduce snap count for players during a long season is a good thing IMO. Plus it would make it easier to get a backup OG some game time snaps when a game is in control in the 4th quarter. With such a limited active roster teams usually only have two backup Oline active on game day. …

I think we have one fairly good size contract in the offseason but the rest will be lower profile choices. I think we bring back Wooten but still need one. I think the one big one will be a DE along with the cutting of Peppers, this is highly probably. Choices: M. Bennett,L. Houston,M. Johnson, Hardy,Orakpo. I think Hardy and Orakpo will cost too much but we have a shot at the other 3. So I think Bennett and Houston will be the targets. Lower profile targets: Willie Young/DE/formally Detroit Mike Neal/DE/GB Everett/DE/Minn I like Willie Young, a up and comer Others I like: C. McD…

Watching the youngsters improve as the game went along was enjoyable. There is still room to grow but there are quite a few positives coming out of this game and I think the Oline's confidence will be much higher this weekend.

It seems like the rust is finally off. What a game he had. In 3 games, Smith leads the NFL in total tackles (T-36), has 0.5 sacks, 2 TFLs, 1 INT, and 2 Passes Defended. If he can keep up this pace and get a couple of FF's he will be looking at a big contract. He is on pace for over 200 total tackles.

My question to all of you is this: is this the most snake bitten season the Bears have ever had? If you think of what we talked about the entire off season, the consensus would say, it's the year off Justin. What we never discussed is the litany of injuries this team has had. Drill that down to the OL and we can say that we've not seen the projected starting five all season. Other than the Charles Martin slaughter of Jim McMahon, I have not seen such carnage on the injury report. Jackson, Brisker, Gordon, Edmonds, Engakque, Johnson, Fields, Jones, Whitehair, Jenkins, Wright, Herbert, St Brown, Claypool, Davis, Feeney, Homer, Smith, Kramer, Lewis and Moone…
