Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. We needed MIN, CAR, and DAL to lose. Well DEN is up 3 against MIN, CAR is being shutout by ATL, and DAL is up by 10+ against DET. So CAR is definitely a loss, MIN can still lose, and it looks like DAL will win easily. Let's go Broncos! How about the epic QB matchup with Jackson and Watson? Jackson has 4 TDs and is borderline unstoppable. Watson? Not so much. Thru the mid-4th, he is 18-29 (62%), 169 yds, 1 INT, 6 sacks, 1 FL. Watch the media on Watson, they will point to a bad O-Line, etc, etc. Nothing like Trubisky gets when he has a game like this. The funny thing is, Watson has had several games with less than 200 yards passing and several multi-turnover…

Both CAR and PHI lost, which puts both of them at 6-7. So the only teams ahead of the Bears for WC2 are the Rams and Vikings. The Rams are beating the Cardinals early and the Vikings play in Seattle on MNF. If Seattle can beat Minnesota tomorrow night, we would essentially be 1 game back with 3 to play (before our head to head....which is a must win). All we need to do is beat the Vikings in Week 17 and come into the game no more than 1 game back. If Seattle wins, this scenario is definitely possible.

It looks like this will be the end for Eddie Jackson and Cody Whitehair. Cutting them both this offseason would free up almost 22M in cap space with about $10M in dead cap. Jackson has been ok, but too often injured. Whitehair has been slowly degrading into a below replacement level player and you can't pay those guys $13M a year. Jackson is due $18M, there is just no way I see him on the roster next year, so the Bears will have to look for a new FS in FA or the draft.

The Bears are sending a large group to Oregon Ducks pro day. QB Bo Nix and C Jackson Powers-Johnson are going the big draws.

  6. Decent production for 568 defensive snaps: 3.5 sacks, 20 QB Pressures, and 5 TFL. He played the Bears in 2022, had 0.5 sacks, 7 total tackles, and 2 QB Hits against Fields. This seems like a upgraded rotational piece over the likes of Muhammad/Blackson.

  7. Mac going to Jacksonville where he will back up Trevor. Fields at least worth more than this - how much more, I don’t know.

The league needs to settle this pronto or they will ruin their brand. The guys they have on the field are only marginally better the high school refs I see every week. Peace

One draft pick to go and that's Gabe Carimi hopefully he gets signed today along with some OL signings.

We crapped the bed again during a big game. Rodgers owns us. Until I actually see it, I will assume they will continue to own us and I will pencil every GB game from here on out as a loss. We are not in their league. D was worst ever. Tucker needs to be fired, and Conte needs to be cut ASAP. My Sundays have now been returned to me. I could honestly care less about watching the NFL right now period. SF will kill GB. At least there are no more false hopes for this awful season. Same old Bears. Losing to GB to make them national darlings. Great job guys. Just stellar.

This dude would fit right in kicking in Chicago in the winter. I don't think we can wait to draft him in the 7th or pick him up as a UDFA. We do not have a 6th rounder so is he a worthy 5th round pick (#162)?

  18. Started by AZ54,

Here's a couple videos with some good thoughts about our running game with Braxton Jones and Darnell Wright. Glynn Morgan explains how pulling either OT could make it really hard to stop our run game. If he's right in Week 1 GB could be in for a surprise. I like Schmitz's analysis on Braxton Jones and since he covers his run blocking you can see how he was utilized last year. The assumption is we'll now be doing the same type of plays from left or right.

It is great that the Bears will have both Hightower and Borgonzi coaching there. They will get some great in depth looks at players that other teams won't. Hopefully they helps the draft values. With Hightower as the HC and Borgonzi as the D coordinator, I bet the Bears draft at least one defensive player from the East squad. Here are the rosters: https://shrinebowl.com/rosters/ There seems to be a week of activities: https://shrinebowl.com/news/2024-game-week-schedule/ before the game, so we should get some intel as early as this Thursday/Friday.
