DRAFT At pick #14 we have the chance at some fantastic players. My favorite is Kenny Phillips, we have no safeties. Also, tho it wont happen a RB like John Stewart or Mendenhall would be great. NO FRIGGIN OL. Also, i have a feeling we may select a QB if woodson is still there. If we have a chance at some of the players mentioned and we take some OL im gonna flip. If u use a high pick on an OL and they suck, and to me they are all pretty much the same, he is useless. Cant play any other positions or special teams.Drafting OL that high is stupid. Here is a mock draft at TheFootballExpert.com that has us taking Sam Baker, OT, USC in the first and James Hardy, WR, Indiana in round 2. I like this better than the many drafts having us picking QB round 1. The 2nd one from the same site TheFootballExpert.com has us selecting OT Ryan Clady round 1 and QB Chad Henne from Michigan round 2. There are 2 other 1 round drafts on the site by 2 different authors, one having us taking Baker round 1, the other Clady round 1. I am beginning to like this site!! OLTs in round 1, now that is what I wanted to see!!

Did the Bears trade last year's pick they received from NYJ for Jones to SD for their 2nd 3rd round pick this year, or did they trade that pick they got from NYJ to SD and got SD's 3rd and maybe a 4th rounder of last year's draft?

I like the Pats but I dont think they will cover the 14. It appears Rivers, LT and Gates are all playing.

Given that we still have Ron "The Burner of Hope" Turner....maybe it's moot. But would you want Norm? He did do some nice things with Vince Young last year...not so much this year. I think I'd make the swtich personally. What are your thoughts?

Just wondering if anyone read Michael Lewis' book The Blind Side? Offensive tackle Michael Oher from Ole Miss (who just declared for the draft yesterday) is apparently featured prominently in the book as the "perfect left tackle on paper" and the book talks a lot about his story. Any reviews (of the book or the player)?

Byrd promoted in coaching shuffle The Bears added a third wrinkle to the changes on the coaching staff as assistant defensive backs coach Gill Byrd was promoted to assistant DB’s/safeties coach. The club announced the move Wednesday afternoon when it also got around to officially naming Lloyd Lee the new linebackers coach, and announcing the addition of Eric Washington to the staff as an assistant defensive line coach. A couple thoughts come to mind: da Bears' 1st and a third for Bills 1st to grab Clady or Phillips before Denver, who has an alleged interest in 1 of those players. or Bills 1st for Bernie Berrian. Your thoughts...

I believe there's a coin flip for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th round picks this year (could be wrong on the numbers). When will this flip take place? Thanks.
