Now has 48 receptions for 622 yards and 5 TDs on the season. That is the most for a Bears TE since Kmet's 719 in 2023 (on 73 receptions). In the Super Bowl era, Dikta, Dewveal, Bennett, and Kmet are the only TEs in Bears history to have 650+ receiving yards in a season. Desmond Clark had 626. Loveland is having the 2nd best season in Bears history for a rookie TE, only to Dikta's 1,076 yards and 12 TDs in 1961 (in 14 games which is insane). Loveland also has a +43.2 REC EPA, 3rd to only McBride and Kittle. McBride has 161 targets, Loveland has 69.

Post Week 16 games. 2018 was probably the last time the national media had the Bears ranked this high. Here are the top 10 power rankings and the Bears ranking: CBS Sports - 4th Yahoo - 5th NFL.com - 6th Sharp - 6th NBC/PFT - 7th ESPN - 8th The Score - 8th Fox/Brady - 9th USA Today - 9th nfelo - 10th Average - 7.2 It feels like any team in the top 10 has a shot at the Super Bowl, the Rams are the closest to a complete team and they just lost to the Seahawks. If the Bears beat the 49ers, they have to be considered a top 5 team, which is hard to believe, and it is wild to see some rankings already have them in the top 5.

Early on there were a lot of concerns about the Bears picking Loveland over Warren (or a DT, Edge, or OT). Warren came out of the gate on fire and was really looking like one of the best TEs in the league while Loveland was still recovering from surgery and getting limited playing time. Right now Warren's raw stats look better, but those are essentially padded by playing time. Warren has 200 more offensive snaps than Loveland and 41 more targets. However, since November, Loveland has been one of the best TEs in the league. In that span, he beats Warren in every category. Warren has been pretty bad the last few weeks, with only 8 catches on 21 targets, for a tot…

There are two guys that stand out for me when you consider their draft status and or contract vs performance this year. So far on offense, that is Monangai who has 731 Rush Yards, only 97 fewer rushing yards than Jeanty, but with 69 fewer carries. He also has 140 receiving yards on 14 receptions. With 871 Yards from Scrimmage, he only needs 129 total yards to hit 1K with 2 games left. For a 7th Rounder, that is some crazy production. The Bears are 7-1 when Mongagai gets at least 12 touches, and 4-3 when he doesn't. Feed him! On defense, it is Nahshon Wright. 5 INTs and 2 FF, 1 TD, and 11 PD. The Bears are 6-1 when he forces a turnover, and the only loss was the…

The 11-4 Bears travel to SF to take on the current 10-4 49ers. A primetime matchup of two teams that earned a playoff berth with Detroit crapping their pants. McCaffrey accounts for 23.6% of the targets, and has 10 games with over 105 scrimmage yards. He accounts for 34.8% of the 49ers yards from scrimmage. The Bears have to figure out a way to contain him, especially in the passing game. Surprisingly, he has been mediocre running the ball this year with his lowest career YPC at 3.6. He has a -31.0 Rush EPA, which puts him in the bottom 10 of the league in that category. SF will be coming off playing in Indy on MNF. 2 fewer days rest than the Bears with the Bear…

Still lead the league in Net Penalties -25, and Net Penalty Yards -318. Over the course of 15 games, they have lost a games worth of yardage to penalties compared to the other team. That is equal to a full game lost.

I have not been the biggest fan, mainly due to his lack of range, but his kicks tonight with the wind and the onside kick were amazing. This was arguably the best game of his career.

If OTC is correct, we are projected to have 1.4 million in cap space next year. That's not good considering the free agents we will have. I looked at a few contacts that may be overvalued and the best scenario. From left to right (player, cap#, dead money, savings and action taken) DJ 28,4,24 Trade Post 6/1 Edmunds 17, 2,15 Trade Pre or Post 6/1 Dayo 20,0,7 Restructure Jarrett 19,4,15 Trade Post 6/1 Johnson Can't cut, trade or restructure. Gordon 23,2,11 Trade post 6/1 Chart is ugly. I don't think a miracle is gonna happen with Gordon or Jarrett. DJ and Edmunds can get us 39 million back if traded. Add in …

Weird to see Bears as leading vote getters, 4 OL on the list, 14 total players in the top 10. The top 4 guys should be in consideration for All Pro, Dalman, Thuney, and Byard should be 1st Teamers. Wright, just because of name recognition will probably lose out to Horn or Surtain for 1st Team All-Pro. OC - Dalman - NFC1 / NFL2 OG - Thuney - NFC1 / NFL1 FS - Byard - NFC1 / NFL1 CB - Wright - NFC2 / NFL2 KR - Duvernay - NFC2 / NFL3 ST - Blackwell - NFC2 / NFL4 OT - Wright - NFC4 / NFL4 OG - Jackson NFC3 / NFL7 DE - Sweat - NFC3 / NFL7 LS - Daly - NFC5 / NFL5 QB - Williams - NFC4 / NFL7 P - Taylor - NFC5 / NFL10 TE - Loveland - NFC6 / NF…

PART DEUX in our house. Biggest game since 2018. Looks like Parsons may have torn is ACL, tough break for GB, but that significantly changes this game. DEN just put up 34 on GBs defense and the Bears scored 21 (would've been 24) last week with Parsons in all game. So the Bears should be projected to score 27 or 28. They may have lost Watson too, but that is too soon to know. He has 5 TDs in the last 5 games and had scored 2 against the Bears. That would be another huge loss.

This is now a must-win, mainly because the Bears have to win games they are favored to win at home. With GB playing in DEN and DET playing LAR, there is a chance that both GB and DET lose, and CHI wins, which would reset the division back to the way it was before the loss to GB, making the Week 16 rematch even that much more important. CLE's defense is no joke. They are pretty much a top 5 defense across the board. Their offense looks more explosive with Sanders at QB. This is going to be an ugly FG war. Bears 20-16.
