  3. Anyone else tired of Chalk Talk? I know it should be obvious that he works for the Bears etc, but he is Lovie-like in his political non-speak drivel week after week....the latest example: " know that there have been numerous theories on why the Bears are struggling offensively, but would you agree that inconsistency along the offensive line may be the culprit as it all starts with the guys up front? Chris Highland, New York The offensive line certainly hasn’t performed up to expectations, but I don’t see how you can single out five players when there are 11 on the field. Every player and coach on the Bears offense must share the blame for a unit that has…

Personally, after today's performance, I would just as well see Caleb Hanie start against GB than Rex Grossman if Kyle Orton is not ready to start next week. I do not see how he can do any worse than what I watched today. What do you guys think? I pray that Kyle is ready to go next week.

  6. First of all, the Bears staff knows more about the health of Kevin White than anyone else. So I'll hope for now he's healthy. If so, the Bears suddenly have turned a position of question into a position of perceived strength. -White (6'3", 216lbs) will be presumably be the split end (X). He's big enough and fast enough to shake off press coverage from the line. He's also the most athletic, and the guy who likely gets the one on one ball when Glennon is under fire. -Wright (5'10, 191lbs) seems perfectly suited for the slot (Y). When he was under Loggains in TN, he worked slot and put up 94 catches for over 1000 yards. That likely gives him the leg up in the…

Fishburn and Durkin in the athletic had some interesting ideas. They say to sign Keenum, 1 yr 5 mil Golden, 1 yr 6 mil Trade the 4th pick to ravens for Hayden Hurst (the idea that he is 3rd string in Baltimore). Was a first round pick and has big upside at 3 mil. Kevin Johnson/ CB 2 yr 7 mil ( played well at buffalo last year) Halapoulicaati Vaitai OT 3 yr 24 mil. Backup at philly that would play RG this year and take a OT spot in future. Anybody know much about Vaitai?

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8231...o-bowl-wr-lloyd Is this a player that possesses the "talent" many of you describe? I recall him playing in Chicago before. Dude catches just about everything thrown his way.

I seen a tweet from Aaron Lemmings that the Bears were going to push to obtain Ian Williams and move Goldman to DE. 6'1" 305---65 tackles-1 FF-1 PD -1 S He seems small for the NT spot but plays well there.

http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/ for picture on boat New witness calls pepper spray 'ludicrous, no point for it' Often accused of being nonchalant in Chicago, Cedric Benson has been anything but laid-back trying to clear his name back home in Texas. Benson continued an aggressive approach to defending himself against charges of boating while intoxicated and resisting arrest by hiring a new attorney considered one of Austin's finest and most high-profile defense attorneys. Lawyer Sam Bassett already has interviewed 10 people who were on Benson's boat Saturday night when Benson was arrested on Lake Travis, outside Austin, and described, accordi…

He just came out of the closet....Wondering how you old school guys feel about this. Some quotes from anonymous NFL front office people think this hurts his draft status. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/college-f...am-draft-stock/ There WILL be meathead fans that will get on him if he struggles, and the media is sure to be all over him for awhile....As long as he has thick skin I think he'll be just fine. I think he can hang at DE but would be more of an ideal fit as a rush LB....If the Bears run some sort ofhybrid, I really wouldn't mind drafting him if he ends up falling to the 4th round. He can back up his teammate Kony Ealy as the hybrid DE/OL…

It's that time of year when some of us are spending way too much time looking at draft guides/highlights/etc. So inspired by the recent All Athlete Draft I saw posted, any other fun All "Something" drafts you can put together for the Bears. I can make a very credible "all Florida" draft with one little cheat that I actually wouldn't be upset with for the Bears: 1. Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida 2. Jonathan Bullard, DE, Florida 3. Keanu Neal, S, Florida 4. Demarcus Robinson, WR, Florida 4. Kelvin Taylor, RB, Florida 5. Antonio Morrison, ILB, Florida 6. Jeff Driskell, QB, Louisiana Tech (but formerly of Florida) 6. Alex McAllister, OLB, Florida 7.…

Since it's packer week, I got to thinking about the things in football I hate the most. Mine, in order, are the following: 1) The packers 2) Brett Farv 3) Ridiculous seat prices and PSLs that continue to rise 4) Locked Thanksgiving home games for Dallas and Detroit 5) John Madden What are yours?
