  1. That really isn't totally fair, the Bears are well known for using the IR list as a way to basically redshirt a rookie that they're not planning on giving a lot of playing time to, such that they can free up the roster spot without losing the draftee.
  2. No. There are still plenty of opportunities for Hester and Bennett as #2 guys right now. The Bears have more than enough room for another WR. And it's very rare for a WR to come in and be ready to make a big impact early in his rookie season. Hopefully one of them does develop and it won't matter, but adding a guy doesn't prevent it right now.
  3. Todd McShay labeled the guy out of GA who's name I'm not even going to try to spell as one of his underrated guys.
  4. 3 hours is no delay. LOL. Miami and The Prophet are on the clock.
  5. After the Jason Peters trade, Eben Britton would not have dropped out of the first. But since that trade happened recently, it's not included. The Bills need O-Line help, both at Guard and possibly at tackle now that Peters is gone. The Buffalo Bills select Duke Robinson, OG, Oklahoma. Madlithuanian and the San Francisco 49ers are on the clock.
  6. The Jaguars have other needs, but seeing a guy who could have gone in the top 12 drop this far, they're jumping at it. The Jacksonville Jaguars select Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech. Oakland Raiders and "The Prophet" are on the clock.
  7. It's been over 24 hours. I won't stop if someone else wants to pick, if you'd rather wait til the morning that's reasonable, whatever.
  8. #3...some of these banned substances may have been performance enhancing substances, so there was extra reason for these guys to be taking them on the way up to the combine.
  9. How many players are there at the combine? When MLB did their announced tests they got 10%.
  10. Just a note...you'll be on the clock again with the Lions whenever DB makes his pick.
  11. Well, I think it's time to call it for DBDB, Brianbear if you want to make the pick for him I'm not going to stop you.
  12. Well, we're now waiting on DBDB for the Giants...
  13. Or, the Bears could do like the Bears are supposed to do, have Harris breaking through up the middle all day, have Ogun and Brown and Anderson get in a few hits from the outside, so that Warner is always rushed and is never making a comfortable throw, while Cutler puts up a 40 spot on the Arizona defense.
  14. The Colts's biggest need is on the interior defensive line, but unfortunately Peria Jerry is already gone. The Colts are going to gamble on a talented defensive player who's been known to not yet live up to his ability. The Colts select Evander "Ziggy" Hood, DT/DE, Missouri.
  15. Second round draft order is posted.
  16. BTW, I will post the round 2 list at some point this weekend. Since I still have a pick coming I can make sure we don't reach that round before I post it.

    UDFA?

Depends on how much they actually like Hanie. If they think he can handle a game...
  18. Unless they could sign him to a contract before the draft. Side note: If we hadn't banned trades, and I was holding the Bills, and either Sanchez or Stafford was remaining at 11, I'd be calling up the Jets and maybe a couple other teams and saying "He's going #12 unless you pass along a pick to me, and I'd be happy to stockpile some extra picks."
  19. It's a reasonable move for Detroit if they aren't 105% sure on Stafford. What they ought to do in that case though would be to approach Sanchez before the draft and try to sign him to a money-saving contract. Sanchez would probably make a lot more than if he went around #10 if the Lions took him, but the Lions could find significant savings in that case.
  20. If Jerry Rice could travel through time from when he was 28 and could join the Bears' receiving corps, that would make them unstoppable also, but that's probably just about as likely.
  21. Evans was extended through 2012.
  22. With the 11th pick in the 2009 NFL draft, the Buffalo Bills select Everette Brown, DE, Florida State.
  23. Unless he was holding out or I had another guy in 2nd (a-la Rivers/Brees), not a chance.
