Please dump this guy
Don't forget Forte- a CUSA school isn't very big, either.

Hester
That's what I've been saying- if he isn't 100%, rest him. A minor rib injury isn't one you want to aggravate as someone who uses all that shiftiness that Devin does. I'll be glad when he's 100% vs the Eagles.

So what does this mean
Payne had 13 tackles last week. So yeah, what a piece of s***.

I don't buy Lovie schemes
News flash: was he really going to play in the preseason anyway? If so, would 20 snaps have been the difference? I don't buy that.

So how do we win
Hold them under 10 points. Force TOs. Run the ball 30+ times. Use Forte out of the backfield for screens. Hit open WRs for 20+ yard plays. Use Dez Clark. Bears 21-7.

I think that's what I was getting at with the whole thing. AZ- I see where you're coming from, but like Jason said, if we really do "run coming off the bus", then that should be a run there to Forte. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Benson to sign with the Lions!
I can wait for week 9 though, too.
-
The Bears HAVE to stop that stupid sideways pass!
Seeing as if how we can't even run a play correctly when Hester's on the field it seems, I'd highly doubt we'd stack up WRs behind each other and go from there.

Yeah, and it's evident Orton is inconsistent with that throw, similar to our back-up. So, with the 2 minute warming coming up, why not just go for the 1 yard with Forte after his previous 9 yard run, and call it 58 minutes with 20 yards to go before we were in FG range. I can't watch the game, I just said that. If it's going to be on NFLN soon or something, let me know.

Benson to sign with the Lions!
I'm drooling for week 5.

You don't run on 2nd and 1 with the 2 minute warning coming up with your stud RB? Okay, fair enough. And I don't have access to the game, but if it's on NFL Network soon, let me know. There were plenty of times where I said "Why the hell did we just not run the ball there? We've given up on the run game...again". I can't exactly pinpoint plays for you, but if I watched it again, I could.

Not a bad comparison
Watching the Dallas/Philadelphia game the other night, I actually thought Forte reminded me of Westbrook (so switch around the #2 and #3 veterans). Both Forte and Westbrook can catch it with ease (or so it seems for Forte), both don't ever stop running/always fall forward, and both have a swagger/confidence about themselves that gets you all warm and fuzzy inside everytime they touch it- like a feeling that they have a chance to do something special everytime they get it in their hands.

Hester
He almost broke one in the Indy game (first punt) and he had 3 chances in Carolina (including the one he got hurt on) to take one back. I'm feeling one this week.

The Bears HAVE to stop that stupid sideways pass!
Actually, I think we're TRYING to run a WR Screen all those times it's a "quick pass", but I just don't think we have a clue out there.
-
Hester
For the 3rd time- all the times we should have ran with Forte (2nd and 1 and 4th and 1 on that last possession). That is 2 off the top of my head and I'm sure there are other times where we clearly should have handed him the ball but instead threw a 4 yard out to Stone Hands Davis.
-
Kyle Orton
Which is why I say take the chance on trading for Quinn. That way, we can use our potential top 15 pick on an OT or OG and start rebuilding the offense with young guys.
-
Kyle Orton
And when Grossman turned it over 2 or more times (Arizona, Miami, Minnesota twice, Dallas, San Diego, and Kansas City), we were 4-3. I'll take my chances with Orton.

The Bears HAVE to stop that stupid sideways pass!
Yeah, like that play last year vs New Orleans when he ran for about 25 yards. Not right next to him, dope, but next to the RT or RT, then when Hester comes at Orton, have Olsen slide over and block. It wasn't too difficult to understand, now was it?

Buccaneers @ Bears gamethread
I'll be at the game wearing my new blue replica Forte jersey. Let's get a W! Being 2-1 going into a toughie against Philadelphia would be nice. Orton 19-27, 203 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT Forte 26 carries, 122 yards, 1 TD / 6 catches, 36 yards Clark 4 catches, 39 yards, 1 TD Harrison, Ogunleye, and Urlacher all get a sack. Peanut and M. Brown get picks.
-
Galloway may be out vs Bears
Some CB is out too as a suspension.
-
Hester
How about when he became pass happy and decided not to give our RB the ball? Yeah, so there's about 11 possible plays that were crappy.
-
Kyle Orton
What would you rather have? 175 yards, 0 TDs 250 yards, 1 TD, 3 INTs
-
Hester
1? Are you kidding? Yeah, because I'm sure Turner called a bunch of run plays in the 2nd half only for Orton to check out of EVERY SINGLE one. Good call.

Benson to Lions?
I hope they sign him in time for week 5.
